I'm going to be in France for a little while this summer and provided I don't see anything that I really want in terms of souvenirs I'd like to buy one of these gizmos over there. Is it region locked or no?

Yes, it is region-locked, sadly. If you buy the 3DS in France, then you may be restricted to France only.

Yep. The two are compatible with each other. There's Japanese, Euro/Aussie, and American so far.

~3.00 minutes of gameplay isn't tons of information, as far I know. Unless I have missed something, but Mariowiki has hardly anything about it besides screenshots.

You probably should have stated you were talking about Paper Mario, and not the 3DS itself. Considering you started talking about the 3DS right before saying there was no information.

I hope there we'll hear about all of the 3DS titles. I do think it's absurd that there were like five titles announced with E3 last year that I cared about and not a single one of them has a release date except for OoT 3D, which is just a remake. D:

At least give us more information for Animal Crossing and Paper Mario this E3, Nintendo...

I think Paper Mario 3DS is confirmed to come out this year. I know Mario Kart 3DS is and they are trying to get Super Mario 3DS out this year. We'll probably see a lot of release dates revealed at E3 for 3DS Games.

My best guess is that Paper Mario will come out in the autumn. One of the reasons I'm looking forward to e3 is that I believe it will reveal a lot about it

I always seem to have this one game that I obsess about in the weeks before it's release. The last one was Portal 2, with me playing through Portal several times, and of course Black and White before that. Now it's Ocarina. Finally, people can stop complaining that there are ''no good 3DS games'' out yet. Well what are you going to say now, when one of the greatest games of all time is going to be released in handheld form, in 3D, with much better graphics?

Hm... "it took them three months after the launch to get a decent game out, and even then it's a port of a title that released in 1998 and has been rereleased at least three times since"?

It'd be a valid point, if a tremendously picky and whiny one.

I'm looking forward to OoT 3D as much as anyone, but "one of the greatest games of all time is going to be released in handheld form, in 3D, with much better graphics" is largely hyperbole, and it is still only one game. Given the weak launch lineup, Nintendo doesn't need only one game, they need multiple games. Not that they don't have multiple games in the works and probably out by year's end, but still.

Agreed. "with much better graphics"? They are improved somewhat, but they definitely are not "much better". They're really quite underwhelming for a Zelda game on a handheld console that is supposed to be so powerful.
