I love that we get free themes of colors. Though I'm considering buying a theme from the shop later on.

Checked out the themes a few weeks ago after I updated my 3DS XL and they are amazing! I have already purchased the Yoshi theme and plan on getting the Mushrooms theme and the Rosalina theme if it gets released in Australia.

Edit: Checked out the Theme shop recently and noticed we now have the "spinner" themes featuring Mario, Rosalina, Peach or Bowser, just purchased the Rosalina theme a few minutes ago.

I'm definitely getting either the Super Mario or Zelda theme.

Okay, back when I downloaded Smash 3DS, I kept running into errors throughout the download. Exciting and rentering the download fixed it, but it was very annoying. I figured the servers were just busy, but now I'm downloading the ORAS demo, and I'm having the same problem. Anyone know what's up with that? Everything else online works perfectly fine for me.

I never got issues so it might be your connection acting wonky.

I was wondering if there is a way to transfer everything from one 3ds to the other. The one with all the stuff doesn't turn on anymore and I wanted to transfer to the new one I'm going to get. If anyone knows if it's possibly please let me know.

Not if it doesn't turn on, no.

In short, if it doesn't turn on then you're SOL.

Question Should I Import the New *2014* Japanese 3DS?

Apologies if this isnt in the right place, but I really want to know if its worth getting, and I guess its all personal choice in the end of your decision. Importing Japanese systems and games as a whole - more complicated, more expensive, cheaper solution or what? I already preordered ORAS from Gamestop, should I get a Japanese version of one of the games along with a 2014 3DS? (Or just download it from the New3DS Eshop?)

What are your thoughts on the New3DS?, 2014DS, Etc. I wanna know if its worth getting as I'll still have my 2011 model and thats in English/USA Region. I also heard that original DS/DSi Wear are NOT region locked in the 'New3DS'!

    So, whats your take?

I don't know.Depends if you're really interesting in investing for one now,or want to wait for the English release next year.Though, most of it is on you.No pressure.

You could of asked in this thread http://www.serebiiforums.com/showthr...cussion-Thread

But to save you the trouble, no. It's not worth it. We'll get the system early next year. Importing every game is going to run your wallet dry in the long run.

Yes. I think it's better suited so I've merged it.

The answer your question though, personally it depends on what you're looking for. There are some japanese games that haven't released over in the west (and probably won't) but they are mainly RPGs like Dragon Quest and Legend of Legacy. If you're a fan of those niche games and can understand them / don't mind playing with a guide then I can see it being worth it. If not, I wouldn't go through the trouble of importing the system and having to import games as well.

If you are European like me then I'd recommend getting an american system over japanese one as they're more likely to get those kind of games (and earlier due to only having to translate to english). Up to you though. Personally, unless you really like niche rpgs I wouldn't go through the trouble of getting a japanese system.

Newsflash: Some one apparently remade Swapnote for the internet browser. So if Swapnote is your type of thing, look up 'pictoswap.ajf.me' on your 3DS internet.

I don't do Swapnote, so eh.

Need help in Golden Sun/ Golden Sun: The Lost Age? I'm good for questions. Just nothing past the Kraken in Golden Sun. I'm stuck on it.

Hey guys, I plan on getting a 3DS so I can play ORAS. However, I'm in need of some advice. Which should I get, the regular 3DS or the 3DS XL? Will the 3DS XL even fit in your pocket? Are there are any differences between them other than size? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd probably wait for the New 3DS. It's already out in Japan, so if you can handle waiting a few extra months you'll get a console that can play absolutely everything that's coming to the 3DS, and just all around better.
I can't help you much more than that though since I don't have a 3DS XL. The biggest difference apart from size would have to be battery life though. Depending on brightness you'll get an extra 4-8 hours on an XL.

OG 3DS is cheaper, has sharper image quality, is smaller, has a glossy exterior

XL 3DS has larger screens which don't touch the bottom bezel, has actual Start/Select/Home buttons, longer-lasting battery, slightly bigger SD Card, has a matte exterior

I have a 3DS XL, and I usually play my mate's 3DS too, and I must say, I prefer the XL in every way. Bigger screen, better layout, actual buttons, longer battery-life; it's all good! Portability isn't as great, but I can still fit it nicely in my pocket, although a carry case is always a great option for either one.
    Too much water guys!

Hm, thanks to all who responded. Now, is there any idea when this New Nintendo 3DS will be released in North America? I know it's sometime in 2015, but is there any indication of what season it'd be released? If it's released in Spring, I'll just not buy a Nintendo 3DS XL now and wait for the new one. But if it's released later in the year, I'll just go ahead and buy a Nintendo 3DS XL and exchange it next year or something.

Nope, no word yet. Hasn't even been official confirmation from Nintendo of America that we're getting it at all, I'm pretty sure. Nintendo of Europe were the ones that said it'd release in 2015.

They're probably trying to figure out the best way to market it since the name doesn't sell it at all.

I wonder why they can't improve the battery life on the 3DS, new or old. It seems the New models aren't much better, letting you get around 4-5 hours of gaming before needing to be charged. Even less using wireless.

Yet my slim vita get's 8 hours on some pretty demanding games. It's weird.

Well they put in more powerful hardware in the same form factor, they improved the battery but that was a necessity so the battery life didn't get worse. The Vita Slim has the same computational power but require less power draw.
