    Default heracross for a solo?

Hey, I'm just wondering if a Heracross run on platinum would be an ok choice for a solo run. I know bug isn't a very good type, which is why i'm posting

Who says Bug-type isn't good? It takes out grass, psychic AND dark types, all fairly prevalent types now. Fighting type is pretty powerful type too, getting normal/ice/rock/dark/steel. With just its two STAB moves, Heracross covers 7 types for super-effective damage, and that's not even going into all the neutral damage ones. Stick a couple other good physical moves on there and you're golden. Say maybe Earthquake, Rock Slide/Stone Edge, Night Slash, Aerial Ace, Shadow Claw.

Oh, and obviously go Close Combat and Megahorn for its two STAB attacks.

So, Heracross would actually be an excellent choice for soloing.

Scizor > Heracross because of all his resistances and Technician STAB Bullet Punch.

Bug is a good type, as is every other type.

I think it'll be a pretty safe bet. I can't remember Trainer that you'll have hard times on with its x4 Flying Weakness except maybe the Rival. Flint's Fire Types are usually too slow outside of Rapidash also. Might want to make sure the Rival doesn't pick Chimchar to be on the safe side also. Go for the Guts / Orb Holder variety for sure.

    brick break
    night slash
    megahorn
    earthquake

you could replace earthquake with arieal ace but thats your disicion

Heracross is a good solo run Pokémon, but Scizor is better due to it's ability and types. It has a 4x weakness to Fire yes, but Flying types are usually faster anyhow.
And with Bullet Punch + Technician, it has a pretty bad STAB effect going there.

    But still.

Heracross should have this moveset depending on what your battle style is.
    -Earthquake
    -Brick Break
    -Megahorn
    -Ariel Ace/Shadow Claw

Not bad, but watch out for flying types, cause it'll be a 4x damage weakness.
This "Pokemon Rainbow" rumored game is already killing me. I want it!

Also, general nintendo fans will probably like my youtube. I make unboxings and collection videos.
