Pokemon Black and White Confirmed Info Discussion [READ FIRST POST]

I don't really mind the stats on the new Pokemon, it's not an "isshu" with me since I rarely ever pay attention to that haha. It's just nice to see that Swana gets some nice moves even if they don't appear until it's at a higher level or something. Wonder if some of these moves are in TM form. Do we even know if we'll get new TMs? Anyway, the Dream World seems a tad bit hectic, I can already tell just by looking at Serebii's new page. I'll ignore it and focus on the main games when they come out.

Yeah I know it is kind of odd but the pronunciation do change. For example, Squirtle will be pronounce Squirtul. But generally the pronunciations come from the anime, thought I do have friends who use them regularly, even I.

Yeah, I've learned all of the pronunciations from watching the anime. It's a good place to learn how a Pokemon's name sounds.

But I still wonder if the TM list will be swapped out.

Some TM's have it so that no Pokemon can learn the TM move naturally, I wonder if they can swap them out and have some (or all) of the previous Pokemon learn it by level.

I'm curious to see the effect this has on HM's, seeing as they're virtually the same as TM's, now.
I s'pose they'll have to keep the fact that you can't delete HM moves, however...

Notice how they kept the 50 TMs from Gen III? Maybe they consider those as the standard ones. The 42 others would be the generation moves. The ones that would include a move from the past or a new one for the new generation. It seems like a great inference.

Not quite sure I agree with the fact that having TMs that don't expire is a good thing, my good man. It may seem like a great idea at first but several months into playing Black and White, things will start getting ugly. People who used to rely on trading TMs for other items won't have the luxury anymore since nobody will be running out of TMs and the demand for them will cease. I've always had many TMs so I don't mind if they run out but I know people still used to trade them around and now it seems like those days are gone. Wonder if other items might stick around longer than usual. It could save us a lot of cash in the future.

How is this a bad thing? I always saw trading TM's as a hassle. It's nicer that everyone will have their own (unless they do something bizarre and make certain TM's version-exclusive). Now trades will involve Pokemon only, or perhaps trading for other important items.

None of them look like Pokemon at all. Pokemon have a clear basis--an animal they all look like. All of those look like... just monsters.

i hope now then they don't still use HM's. They would be completely useless, so I'm expecting them to turn into TM's.

Also whats this about us getting the english names when the games are released? I hope we get them soon! I can't wait half a year for them!

I doubt it. I'd actually dislike that, and luckily, the Pokemon games have never been renamed when they are translated and sent overseas. From what we know, Dark and Light don't have much to do with the themes in the game. However, Black and White do, because they're related to Yin and Yang, or more generally, two opposites that exist in harmony.

(Please note that Dark and Light are not related to Yin and Yang. Yin is not "Darkness" and Yang is not "Light", they aren't related to bad and good.)
