I got out from grinding with everyone level 8 so I go tying to find a new pokemon in route 104. I accidently get in the sights of Winston I battled with Harry and it was a Growl Whip Duel when his Zigzagoon was on the verge of death he used a full restore and then crit'd Harry resulting in death...

ZOMG, Species clause is for noobs. I just trounced Surge (Graveler is teh awesome sauce) and made my way through Rock Tunnel. Head into the grass on Route 8, thinking "Oh, boy a chance to find a Growlithe!" and Wild Pidgey appears. I'm running out of names for them. No new casualties, but Scatcth almost died at the hands of a wild Geodude.

I just began my challenge on Emerald.
I use the original Nuzlocke rules with no personal ones added in, that is:
Catch first Pokemon in route
Release fainted pokemon


My team so far:

Zingers lvl 3-7. succumbed to poisoning


Currently doing some mild grinding before taking down the first gym, shouldn't be too difficult.

Well, I did alot of things over a few hours....
I managed to catch a Slugma, I found a Numel in the preveous route and didn't fel like catching it....
Then I evolved ToniBasil and Static-X! I was waiting for Static-X to evolve so yeah......plus TaterMan went and evolved too!
Then I ran into a lucky encounter with a Swablu. One pokeball did the trick, and I got it. Named it Tom-Tom, after another forum go-er.
I plan to go to Fallabar Town soon, but grinding alittle bit before I get there.
EDIT: I wnet throught Meteor Falls and encountered a Lunatone. So I'm all like "COOL" and I get it. It did pretty good up until it got to Archie, where it was KO'd by his Golbats Crit Bite..... RIP RobZombie....
Just went through the Firey Path, and encountered a fairy decent Numel... I decided to pick it up...

I did this on my Sapphire, was pretty do-able, so I'm going to make it harder on my LeafGreen.
Rules (* means new rule):
- If a Pokemon faints he dies
- I can only catch the first pokemon on every route
- Nickname all pokemon
- No restoration outside of a Pokemon center
- Most of nicknames I thought of are female names (naming them after characters), therefore I can only catch that first pokemon if it's female (no gender =/= female)*
- No items aside from evolutionary stones and pokeballs (pokeballs must be found)*

Now I'm off, I'll update when I beat the second gym.

The first encounter I got was a Female Wingull I named her Pepper after epic grinding I went to Petalburg Forest and caught a Female Shroomish and named her Shroom after I beat the Magma Grunt Missy evolved into Dustox :'D. I got out and ran towards Rustboro and now time to go to route 116

TaterMan has gotten me through numerous enemies, but none like Normans great Focus Punch Slaking...
And so, while I wasn't paying attention.... TaterMan fell.....

But I did add a Anorth to my party that I named LarryKing... and a Trapinch named Destroyer, both are which in the daycare.
I'm going to get LarryKing and make haste to Fortree, to avenge TaterMan!

Anyway, may as well update my Soul Silver Scramblocke Challenge. I am up to Victory Road and am going to grind to level 50 before even versing my rival.

So I just defeated Misty. It was far more trouble than expected since on my first try I didn't encounter catchable female pokemon and thus I had to take Misty on with only a level 27 Charmeleon and that did not end well, I'm afraid. The second time around everything was better for me, though

Current team:
- Flandre the Charmeleon - level 25 - She didn't do anything in the match against Misty, but she did solo Brock using Metal Claw.
- Aruruu (actually this name is for some-one IRL, unlike the others) the Nidoqueen - level 25 - she OHKO'd Staryu using bodyslam and proceeded to 2HKO Starmie with the same attack.

I guess we'll go to Vermilion, and hopefully catch another pokemon, before I get overleveled again and can't catch anything because I OHKO everything.

Well a have alot of new friends in Ruby now this is the next Chapter of the story:

Well I have epicaly grinded (Not really) before launching myself towards Roxxane's Gym.We has a new friend now! Devin the Nicada and Noisy the Whismur they were both taken to storage but Noisy leveled a bit! It was easy to beat considering my pokemon Shroom outright killed geodude and Sam Mud-slapped Nosepass to Oblivion. After I went outside I went towards the Magma Grunt, beat him and went to Dewford. In Dewford I used a epel I found and got to one of the dark floors when a Mawile appeared I caught him and named him Willy. I delivered the letter to Steven and then grinded and had the awesome Idea of an under leveled gym challenge! Lets say I am glad no one died Wingull took out Machop at level 14 and Missy took out Makuhita at level 12! I can't believe I won that. Afterwards I headed to Slateport and searced the only patch of grass I could because of the Magma Grunts. My first encounter was an Electrike! I caught him and named him Gohan *Since when he evolves he looks like a Super Saiyin* and now I am going to grind some more!

Update time. Well, I went through one more Route this time, and it wasn't a Pidgey despite the fact they show up! I got my 2nd Meowth, French Fry, who is now my HM slave because he is in another Pickup tier. And he brought me a Nugget. Yay Pickup working on the catch! Now Celadon brought me many things, a Vaporeon named Varnani and very anti-climactic showdowns against Giovani and Erika. No KOs. Whoever said this is ridiculous on Fire Red has no idea what they were doing. All poisons my butt.

Well beat the grunts, continued to grind and went into the Trick House.After that I beat May and Wally. Grinded some more, Succesfully evaded the grass in route 111 to catch someone in the desert. Went horribly prepared against Mt. Chimney and as of consequence lost 2 valueble team members. and now I am going to grind to defeat Flannery.

Just arrived at Fuschia city. After some bad luck with female encounters and catching them I managed to catch a level 5 magikarp in the safari zone who is now called 'Nitori'. I also encountered a level 30 Weepinbell that I named Hong and was instantly given a leaf stone to evolve. Those two, a Gastly and a Vulpix are the only catchable females I encounterd, Vulpix died of Aruruu's (Nidoqueen) poison after I caught it and Gastly killed itself with curse.

As for gymleaders:
Aruruu killed both Voltorb and Pikachu with one bodyslam. She only got only one hit on Raichu before the super potion and double team. She managed to get in another after which Raichu poisoned himself by using quick attack which killed it.

Everything in the 4th gym got OHKO'd by Flandre's flamethrower.

I still have to train Hong and Nitori so they aren't way behind the other two, but here is my current team:
- Flandre - level 48
- Aruruu - level 45
- Nitori - level 20
- Hong - level 30

I have all eight badges now. Blaine his *** handed to him by Nitori only his Rapidash and Arcanine survived one hit, but fainted after the second one. Sabrina was easily defeated by my new team member Patchouli and Flandre. Giovanni was an easy win as well, again, thanks to Nitori.

This seems like a fun twist on the traditional way to play through the game. So, I've decided to play through my Platinum version on a Nuzlocke challenge with the following rules in addition to or instead of the traditional rules.

-If the Pokemon I encounter on a new route is one I already have, I can choose to catch the next different species I encounter if needed.
-If needed, I may catch an HM Slave (just to save me some frustration)
-Each new floor/entrance to a cave counts as a new route

I started my journey and caught a few Pokes. I am currently training a bit before heading over to Oreburg.

Yes. It's so you get attached to them and love them. So it hurts all the more when that random Rattatta kills your best guy with a critical hit Hyper Fang.
