    Both are great (imo) pokemon from Generation 3. I used both

    Zangoose is better. Not only it's design is coler (for me) but he is also an amazing sweeper. He was part of my first (and only) competitive team, so I have a lot of love for him...

    with sapphire being my first pokemon game, and the fact that i used one to help beat the elite four, i have to say seviper.

    Even if there's absolutely no moveset I could do with Seviper, it is the one I like the most between those two.
    Snake shaped pokemon are cool, I actually adore Milotic !

    Seviper. It has a cooler design, in my opinion, and has a much more awesome sounding voice in the anime. xD [That has everything to do with it! >=3]

    Can't decide really. Zangoose has a great design, but I love serpentine Pokemon <.> haha I go with Seviper :3 I always wanted to try putting one on my team <.>

    Zangoose is better.You don't see as many Seviper in teams.

    Zangoose has higher speed and less weaknesses, whereas seviper has Shed Skin.
    I personally owned Sapphire, so I was jealous of Zangoose.
    Seviper is better, but I like Zangoose more.
    Chespin is mine when I get Pokemon X

    I never played Ruby nor had him on my team so I can't say I like Zangoose. But I will say that I love the hate between them and their natural feud. I prefer Serviper just because I truly enjoy the snake over the mongoose. I just love how it looks and I like poison types over normal any day.

    Though Zangoose has only one weakness and Seviper two weaknesses, I honestly prefer Seviper, due to its wide selection of status effect attacks (In Gen III: Poison Tail + Poison Fang, Gen V: Poison Tail + Poison Fang + Poison Jab, etc.) Also, Seviper's Shed Skin is pretty sweet and though Zangoose has higher attack and speed, Seviper has higher Special Attack so 1 Poison Fang --> [Poison] + Venoshock = total oblivion.
