Wishfulshipping (Cilan x Iris) General Discussion - SPOILER WARNING

Hmm, the information seems interesting; with the new rival and what-not. Also, as everybody, alledgedly, will be competing against each other, like a huge free-for-all between Gym leaders, Elite Fours and whatever else that the world of Pokemon decide to throw in there; I'm sure they'll manage to wow us either way, though the episodes - the new ones - have me wondering how they're going to fit it all into one saga! xP And I'm wondering whether Wishfulshipping will excell or whether it'll be hidden behind Ash's love for battling. It seems a shame to think that Cilan and Iris' relationship could potentially drift away because of there being such a busy saga, with all of the character returns and what-not (if the free-for-all is indeed true) but somehow, I doubt that the writers will completely put Wishful out of the window and Troll us, merely because of it's popularity. As said before, the popular choice doesn't always come around, btu with Ash in the spotlight - well, when is he not? - then what else is there to do with them really? xD

Anyways, because Ash will be preoccupied with all the battling and the new Pokemon (well, old, but y'know...), it's a golden chance for Wishful to become slightly more open to some people. Maybe, if they are pushed closer due to Ash's plot-line, it'll open a few non-supporters eyes and divert them over here. I'm almost certain that Iris will still call Ash a kid, but with much more alone time - or background time if you're selective - for the pair of side characters, who's to say that something won't develop. This seems like it could potentially be the last saga - though Pokemon always seems to be continuing... xD

Well, until this one ends, we'll never know.

As for the walking away and leaving Ash, I can just picture this:

Iris: I kinda feel sorry for the kid. I mean, he thought we were really interested. :/

Iris: Not interested enough to stay... *smirks*

Hahaha, I kid, I kid. But it was still quite fun to write. Totally picturing Iris using "It's _____ Time!" in order to tease him! As for the banner I said I was gonna do, it's half done; thought I'd keep you guys updated as it is THIS thread I'm gonna post it to. But my lazy butt hasn't been working on it these days... ^^; I'll try my best to get it finished today... ^^;

And... I'm thinking of updating The Locket too... maybe. It all depends on what you guys want; would you like another chappie of It's Memory Time or The Locket? I'm fine writing both as I'm drafting ideas for both as we speak! xD

Awww that fanart by May is simply adorable.

I'm uploading the screencaps right now. Iris didn't hide behind Dento coz she was in snow clothes, and she just randomly appeared with them. Though, they did talk to each other and stuff (so maybe the snow clothes plus Dento made her brave-r? XD)

I just realized something: I don't think people watch the side-lines of a Gym Battle as much as we do. XD lol.

Iris was so stunning he had to close his eyes and let it all sink in. Watch this be like the Tribal outfit, where he kept looking at her for 1 milisecond longer (the funny thing is, animation wise it was almost annoying--not to us though. XDDD)

I remember we had this topic a while ago. We made a whole list...but I can't find it ;-; Anyway I'm liking the songs you're suggesting. Some of them like "Love Like Woe" and "Science and Faith" were on the list. XD

Anyways...the song that fits them IMO? It's because of THIS fanart.

Well actually I'm the type of person who'll watch an AMV of these two and be all "OMG THAT FITS THEM <3333" even if it wasn't perfect. XDD

I thought "Every Other Time" (by LFO) also fit them.

Yeah I've noticed that. :/ There's really nothing we can do about it unfortunately. I've seen some people say that "yada yada" should be a hint for WS but for some reason people argue it. >.<; I wouldn't worry about it, but I do wish they'd let us put things that we find as hints...as hints. After all, shipping is fanon. I mean, I know none of us would put anything as silly as the 1 milisecond thing even if it is completely logical and epic XD but I'll tell you what: Maybe if we can come up with some really good moments, and make a good strong point, perhaps I (or one of us if I chicken out XD) can edit the page.

I do know that the cliff scene [Victini movie] was removed from the hint list, however I'd say Dento looking annoyed about Iris not cheering for him is a good one, as well as (on Iris's side) in the first Don Tourney, Iris was a bit upset that Dent said he was going to cheer for Luke. XD

I noticed that - it makes me cringe, unfortunately; the fact that Wishful seems to be getting ignored because of potential bias bugs me... :/ But hey, we should make a list of songs and then post it onto the first page of the first post, alongside the spoliers and the banners and fanart and whatever else is on there, so that people can see our dedication as to make a list of songs for the shipping we support! :P

And, my banner is three quarters; just trying to think of a background for them... ^^; Any ideas would be appreciated~ I tried stars - like "Wish on a star" //shot// - but it didn't contrast very well with their hair as most of them were blue... I could leave it black, or just get a dark night anime screen... but I'm not entirely sure. Either way, when I next post, it'll be (most likely) with a banner on it~ ;P

I'm so sorry, guys. I forgot Serebii existed for a few days. I only remembered because I dreamed that poke_maniac updated with Wishful-y screenshots...and I was very disappointed when I checked that update and didn't see one dream picture. Why? I dreamed that Cilan was kissing Iris's hand. I woke up thinking "I want to marry that pic."

But the other pictures were almost as good.

I'm almost done with the third chapter in my fairytale fic. Just missing the end now.

And how did I not see the new 'future child' coming? I should have put it together myself...

Been a while since I posted here. Last episode was pretty much what I expected, Dento and Iris talking about Ash's battle. It's nice that both support him in their own ways, Iris is more vocal and expressive and Dento, while more reserved, is able to pick up on and is impressed by Ash's strategies in battle. I guess too bad about the snow outfit, if I heard right, Iris says she got it from Nurse Joy XP

As someone that has an account, is able to edit pages, and knows a few of the mods I can assure you that bias is a thing they try to cut to a minimum. The head of the shipping section is fair, and in an effort to reduce the tension and make things smoother has suggested we be less loose with the hints. So no, not every little thing that is brought up here will make it to that list. Honestly I don't see the probelm, as it's the same for all the ships and should be expected really. As for bias against Wishful, I highly doubt it since the person that handles most of its editing is the mod for the Anime Section and a WishfulShipper. If anything, the potential bias would be in favor of WishfulShippers.

Oh, I wasn't meaning to sound rude or disrespectful to the mods/people in charge on Bulbapedia; I just wasn't sure if you could edit, even if you had a profile. I suppose it's a little like Wikipedia, but for hints. xD Anyways, thanks for letting me know about the account thing; I may make one and add a couple of things to it (reasonable of course!) that I feel are missing. As I said before in my other post, I know it's highly unlikely - I just wasn't sure at that point. Sorry for sounding ignorant... ^^; I meant no harm! xD

But really, wouldn't you find it creepy if someone has been stalking you all over the region JUST because you beat her once in a gym match? Imagine if EVERY trainer acted like she did......
