On paper Kyogre is better because its water moves trump ground types, like Groudon. But I still prefer Groudon, i like his move set better and i find his ability more useful with things like solar beam. Also Groudon is just so damn menacing looking and that makes him more iconic.
Kyogre beats groudon as much as I hate to admit but I still love groudon better

My second shiny after 10 years!!
I dunno...I really like Groudon but Kyogre helped me a lot in my Diamond and Platinum games. My friend gave it to me to help me beat the E4, and it became my Pokébro after that, but I think Groudon would still be my favorite between the two.
