Anywhere you'd like. I'm making a list to see if I can't get any ideas from it.

    100. Ah, that's what I thought. Why do you want ideas from it?

I'm trying to come up with a game concept, and I was writing down a list of items to hopefully inspire me with gameplay ideas.

Yeah, like that. Here's what I have hitherto.

Can: think; walk; run; write; jump; sing; talk; dream; build; destroy; sleep; make music; eat; drink; forgive; forget; feel; dig; and type.

Can't: fly; breathe underwater; punch through walls; levitate; telekinesis; dig to China; resist radiation; evolve; and transform.

Take your time. I'm in no rush. I'm still looking for a programmer because that's really the one major thing that I can't do when it comes to game development. There's sound, too, but I'm not as concerned about that.

Can: imagine, plan, create objects, have religion, etc
Can't: humans are very resourceful, and can often create anything to fit their needs. But we can't bend the laws of physics, time travel, teleport, or things like that. At least, not yet.

Good idea, lucian! Humans cannot inhale/exhale toxic substances.

It's all right. I've learned that when seeking inspiration, you have to look everywhere, and I mean everywhere. Which is why I plan on reading The Design of Everything soon.

This would be my third current project. None of them are very large, though.

One is actually a map in Minecraft, and it'll be for a certain gametype, so to speak. I want beta testers before I further construction on the map.

A second is just a board game. I'm looking for a programmer to help me out with it.

This third one is to be a sort of arcade game, so to speak. Nothing like on Playstation Network or Xbox Live Arcade, but more like actual arcade games in arcades. It still shouldn't be anything too large, though.

I'm trying to start off small so that I can ease into my career and everything that it's about.

Wow. I don't have the focus and patience for that XD Since I'm in high school, I've been thinking about what career path I want to take. I'm thinking about doing character design, like for cartoons or video games. I really like drawing, and I enjoy creating their personalities and such. Maybe I could help you with the story?

lucian42: Darn it! That's the fourth time in a row that I've been ninja'd!

Ninetalesgirl421: I don't really need help with any stories (not that any of them really have stories thus far). I'm a writing myself, and I have plans for what I want to do with future projects.

As for you, here's some advice: do what you love. That's about it. When it comes to earning a living, do this: do what you love, and the money will follow. Somehow, someway, you can find some sort of income from the things that you love.

Though you should really choose a career based on your life's passions and not for the money alone.
