But ijn all seriousness, I don't think it should be changed. Steel is a perfectly fine name and one that we're all familiar with.
PRETEND THERE IS A SIGNATURE HERE FULL OF WITTY JOKES AND CLAIMS TO FAME AND UNDESERVED BRAVADO AND SELF PROMOTION
The same could be said for a lot of attacks, not just steel, and this has been pointed out throughout the entire page. So, no. =\
Its ok as it is.

"Steel type" sounds better than "metal type," even if not every steel type is actually made of steel. As everyone else has said, typing just gives a general aspect of the pokemon. Not every fire type is made of fire, etc.
"I now understand the basics of battle, but have much yet left to learn of combat. While I can hold my own, I cannot call myself anything more than a trainer"
Your reasoning is incredibly stupid. And nobody here gives two sh*ts if you insist on Steel-type being changed to "Metal-type." GameFreak isn't going to change it just because a little 10-year-old wants it his way. And nobody around here except you will call it "Metal-type" because that's not what it's called and that's never what it will be called.
The Prima strategy guide for Diamond & Pearl mistakenly said the move Iron Head was a Water type.
Electric type should be renamed Thunder type.
How many Electric type moves have the word Electric in them?
You know Gamefreak probably considered 'Metal Type', 'Iron Type' along with other metals that came to mind when naming it, and to them 'Steel' seemed the best, for reasons mostly known to them, but its not going to change, and that's the way it is.

Play my Mario Maker level! It's a fast-paced and challenging, but it's also short and has generous check points. Just try not to get stomped!
No.Nothing needs to renamed. The types are completely perfect how they are, and one more or one less would make me go mad.
