With the Masuda Method, does attaching a Power Item to one of the parents negate the Masuda effect? I'm trying to hatch a shiny male Mankey with a 31 Defense IV, with Anger Point. I hatched a female shiny weeks ago, but that was without a parent holding a Power Item... Now I have a Power Belt on one of the parents, it seems to be taking ages!

Credit to ChaChi for the shiny card!

No it doesn't negate it, you've just been unlucky but if you persist you will get an egg

Is there a way to check how many trades I've done? Also, where can I trade for Munchlax in the game?

Trainer Card to check number of trades.

To get Munchlax, go to a house in Undella, only in summer, of course.

Go to your trainer card flip it over then you can scroll the text until you get to Trades. Muchlax can be found in Undella Town in the summer in the house closest to the big villa

Hey guys, finally starting to get a competitive team trained up. I just have one question.

Where does one find the Macho Brace? The main site lists that its in Nimbasa City, but it doesn't give any details and I can't seem to find it.

Talk to the Baseball player inside the gate leading to Route 16, and he'll give you the Macho Brace.

Actually, Tepig has low Defense, Sp. Defense and Speed, so it may not be the easiest. Oshawott's stats are in the middle of Snivy and Tepig, so therefore making it the most choosen starter according to my friends and a forum. But choosing a starter isn't based on just stats to everyone. Like me, I originally choose it because it's so cute, and I love water starters.

Venasaur is surprisingly good overall, and is THE COMPLETE BEAST in the Sun. +2 Attack AND +2 Special Attack, double the speed, good bulk, and a one-turn 120 BP STAB move with 100% accuracy? Yes, please.

Are there any good, fast, offensive Grass types? Or are they all defensive? Sorry for asking all of these questions, but I'm curious.

/read above post. If you have a sun team, use Venasaur for sure.

If not, and you just want an offensive grass guy, Breeloom is certainly worth a look, boasting 100% sleep chance and great STAB. Torterra is useful if it gets a Rock Polish and the opposing team doesn't carry Ice types. Ludicolo is great with good typing and can be really annoying with Rain Dish. Tangrowth excels as a mixed sweeper. When released, DW Serperior might be worth a try.

Does Mold Breaker/Turboblaze/Teravolt disable Wonder Guard and Wonder Skin?

Serperior is pretty fast. It can be used offensively.

But Virzion is much better. Try to get a Jolly one.
