I've been having problems with the GTS lately. When I search for pokemon, some trainers I select to view will freeze my game. Like this last time I was searching Raticate, and when I select the Super Nerd sprite, it will freeze my game. Last time I was searching something else, and I think it was a Youngster that gave me problems. I can go back in and search other pokemon with no problems, but if I go back to that guy it will freeze again. Any idea why that happens?

So I was checking bulbapedia's page on pokedex and it said that you don't need event only pokemon to complete the pokedex.
2 things, is this true because it is the first time I've heard this.
Also does mew count as even only even though you can get it through pokemon ranch ?

As it's been since the beginning, you don't need the event Pokémon (Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Deoxys, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, Victini, Keldeo, Meloetta & Genesect) to complete the National Dex, which would be 636 required Pokémon, I believe. No, Mew does not count. If that was the case, most of the other Event Legendary Pokémon would have counted too.

I'm pretty sure this happens to everybody. I don't know why it happens; for me personally, my game will freeze if there is a space in between a group of Trainers and another one who is off by him/herself. My assumption is that these Pokemon have already been traded, or they were hacks, or something. But you aren't the only person who has that problem - there is nothing wrong with your game; it's a glitch in the GTS system. If you select a Trainer and they freeze your game, that trainer offering that Pokemon will always freeze your game. So just remember who they are and don't click on them. You can't trade with them anyway, so they don't matter.

No you need to be affected by the electric move to activate the battery, I tested this myself

It could be because that trainer's Pokemon is in the middle of being traded or taken back, or that the GTS is not finished uploading the Pokemon yet.

Just yesterday I was looking for Torchic, one trainer (who is actually standing right next to the others, and there are only 3 trainers) freeze me up, but then later on, when I was checking Torchic again and already forgot about it, I clicked on the same trainer and there's no error or freezing, it shows me the trainer's Torchic and what he wants.

it seems to come in waves on certain pokemon. it was bulbasaur and seadra last week there those trainer-gaps. i think its glitchy pokemon being uploaded messing with GTS's code. they know about it but who knows when something will happen to remove this possibility....
