If I teach a Pokemon a Move Tutor move in Platinum and then transfer it over to Black and breed it, would its babies have the Move Tutor move? Saying it's female or that I breed it with a Ditto, that is.

If the move is specifically noted as an egg move for the Pokémon in Generation V, yes.

Nope, it's listed as a "Generation IV Only Move." So if I wanted a Gastrodon with Earth Power, I'd have to breed the right-natured Shellos in Platinum, teach it the move, bring it over to Black, and EV train it?

From what I've heard, the description on the ribbons of Event Pokemon will change if you receive a hacked Pokemon via trade. Other than that, I don't think anything happens.

This doesn't seem fair though... I don't want my legit Celebi to lose it's ribbon, and I certainly don't want to restart my game... How am I supposed to battle competetively?

Your Celebi won't "lose" its ribbon; the description on it will just change. I think it changes back when someone trades you a legit Pokemon.

Not that bad, is it? You should see the hoops you have to jump through if you want Dark Pulse on a Hydreigon, particularly if you're picky about natures and such.

Yea but I consider that making my Celebi 'worthless'. I'm a perfectionist. It's good if it would change back if you get a legit pokemon, but from what I read didn't it have to be an event pokemon you got at an event to make it change back?

I'm not sure whether it has to be an Event Pokemon or not. Even if it does have to be an Event Pokemon, you can obtain an Event Pokemon via trade pretty easily. Hell, I'll even trade you a legit Event Pokemon myself if it'll make you feel better

Sure it's been asked before, but how many boxes do you get when you receive the national pokedex? And how many pokemon can you import in one day? Is it like in DPP? You can do it once per-day per-cart? Or no limit you just have to play a mini game thingy?

Also if you get an international pokemon in trade do you also get the foreign dex data like in HG/SS? If not then blargh.

In total, you'll have 24 Boxes. You unlock them by placing Pokemon in your other Boxes. You can transfer over as many Pokemon as you want with the PokeTransfer, but you'll have to do 6 at a time. You just play the mini-game over and over again. And Generation 1-4 Pokemon do have foreign Dex entries.

Thank you. You'd think with how many pokemon there are now they would make it 26 boxes. I hope they do a box thing like in R/S/E, pokebox or something. But have it on the net like the dreamworld.

Have to teach it to one of the candidates via TM in Generation IV, transfer and then breed. That's a bit in and of itself, even more so if you're aiming for the perfect nature or whatever.

But don't you just catch the Pokemon with a good nature, slap an Everstone on it, and breed it with an Arbok or whatever that knows Dark Pulse?

That's sad...I was so looking forward to Gen 5 foreign dex entries. I wish I had the time to start a foreign Dex club. Is that even allowed? Not sure if it falls into the acceptable parameters of a club. Oh well...it's a moo* point anyway.

Mew is UU (on Smogon), so I'm not sure what the "obvious reasons" for not using it are.

Wooooooooooooooooooooooooow... from Uber to UU... that's gotta be the biggest drop in Smogon history... anyway... don't use because it is legendary... all I can say
