I didn't think Zekrom would appear in this episode, but by the looks of the summary, it seems like he does.

The episode starts with:

-Pikachu still has problems with the thunderbolt
-Pikachu is now fine, using Volt Tackle on Ash
-Ash gets Pokadex and pokeballs from Araragi
-Ash leaves and goes to the way
-Trying to capture Kibago but fails, Iris is angry but loves Pikachu
-Mijumaru seems to follow after Ash
-Giovanni talks to Jessie James and Meowth
-Ash fails to capture Shikijika
-After the night, Ash sees Mamepato but it escapes
-Then they see another one and he captures it with Pikachu
-TR catch their pokemon
-Jessie has a Koromori!
-Mujumaru saves Pikachu and Kibago from TR

They kinda left it with a cliffhanger in BW001. That Mijumaru is still watching.. No doubt Ash is going to catch that little bugger..

In the mean time.. Pikachu is still in agony..

So his power got derived by Zekrom and he got it back the second time...

Opening AGAIN!!! iT'S ACTUALLY QUITE NICE! The black shaded pokemon that have been seen in the anime are now coloured in the opening.

Pikachu shocked Misty in one of the Orange Island episodes.

Iris is alright, I guess. It sucks how Ash & Pikachu are acting like a bunch of rookies again. I mean, they should already know that they have to weaken a PKMN before they can catch it. It wasn't surprising seeing Ash catching the Isshu-version of Pidgey as his 1st Isshu capture.

Since many of Ash's previous pokemon already made the decision to join him, just tossing a pokeball worked. Ash was probably trying that again and forgot they had to be battled and weakened first.

OMG, what are the writers on? And I mean that in a good way. This ep was the most freakin´bad*** "second episode" of all time in a new series. When Ash is back he really is back, first trying to capture a Pokémon without a battle and when that dosen´t work, then he goes all in and more or less uses the same fighting style he used against a legendary. That was a safty catch if ever I have seen one in the anime. Cap turn backwards, powerful attacks... well what is not to love.

Iris seems great, loved the faces in the beginning, lol at Pikachus twisted eyes when she hugged him. Well, Misty had bad luck with weather, May and Dawn just bad luck for being there when Pikachus thunderbolt hit but Iris had it comming.

TR actually won the battle and forced the net result to a draw, they have really improved and even if we know that the plot forbids them to succeed it will be interesting to see their development in the series.

While I felt that the first episode was lacking a few things this second ep really got me liking the new BW series. It really does feels like a fresh start.

I watched the anime from the very beginning, but after seeing Team Rocket as comic, incompetent idiots for so many years, it just seems weird seeing them acting like their old selves again. I guess Pikachu wasn't the only one given a reset button

I saw the preview pic when Pikachu fries Iris, but she was still smiling. I think she was suffocating Pikachu with a hug, and that could be the reason, or it could be because of the power fluctuations if they are not fixed yet.
