No, there aren't, but you'll get what I meant, read down this.

What I was intended to do is this (example): my Altaria uses Perish Song, then I switch into Wobbuffet with Shadow Tag and hope it stands for three turns.

I have a team of five here, not sure what to do for my final 'mon. Something that resists Fire would be good, seeing as that's Bronzong's only weakness (and Scizor's major weakness), as well as Froslass'. I have nothing to benefit from/counter Rain, maybe a Gastrodon would be good then, resisting FIre and having Storm Drain? Then again, Salamence resists Fire well. And I lack supers against Ghost and Psychic, maybe a Dark type would be good? Or an Excadrill with X-Scissor? Not sure i a wall or sweeper, or something else, would be good for the last spot.

Bulky water is your call, vaporeon, swampert, suicune, jellicent, etc. I would recommend vaporeond since you can wish support some team members that dont have a relliable way of recovery or suffers from recoil like your salamance your scizor or you bronzong.

Edit: Oh yes forgot to mention that vaporeon also has the Water absorb abilty making it inmune to water, which could help you counter a rain abuser, but if countering rain is very important to you go with gastrodon.
Finnaly Vaporeon can learn shadow ball which solves you psychic and ghost issue, gastrodon could use Hidden Power but still vaporeon has more Sp. Atk

In LC my current lead is a Chimchar, its strategy is to set stealth rocks and possibly KO the opponent but I feel that I could have a better lead, any suggestion?

Pokemon A and Pokemon B are battling. A's command is to switch out, B's command is to use Pursuit. A will move first, attempt to switch out, and Pursuit will catch him on the switch and increase in power. We all know that's how Pursuit works.

However, let's suppose now A's command was to use U-turn or Volt Switch, and that A has higher speed. A attacks, then tries to switch out; does Pursuit still catch him on the switch even thought it was a switch via an attack?

Let's say hypothetically, Nintendo rereleases the NYPC event pokemon.

How viable would some of them be?

I'm mainly looking at:
Lovely Kiss Nidorans
Lovely Kiss Poliwag
Petal Dance Psyduck

obviously a semi-accurate sleep move is allways good, but do the pokemon have the moveslots to afford them?

@ChaosBlizzard pursuit will hit for normal damage, its effect only works for regular switches, actually thats why snogon recommended those kinda moves on pokemon weak to trappers.
@Zachmac I been tolda that it works, however I havent tested it myself
@MetalFlygon08 Except for poliwag they seems to be very bad moves, psyduck woukd get confused cous he lacks Own Tempo and Nidoking/queen dont really get the best of it, but politoed would abuse it plus with drizzle its a excellent lead.

I finally found away to work around archeop's bad sides(well, there is more to it that wish, of course).

My math is completely futzed...I'm missing something in my Ev calculations and I have no clue what it is. I'm new to this still and someone who could basically tutor me would be greatly appreciated..

and I have read the giudes on Serebii, Smogon, and everywhere else I can find....right now my math says my egg has 314Ev Spd and I know that can't be right....

I did note what I put on it as this was my practice mom for learning how to EV via stat item, but obviously I messed up somewhere....(it does rate as maxed out from the in game girl).

edit: and I have 2 others with total Evs in excess of 700 and still not maxed O_O

pokecheckwhen in doubt about your evs and even ivs try this.

They're not hacked ::sigh:: I started with a raw mon and put a bunch of stat items and wings and junk on it....when I tried to add up what EV's it all equaled my numbers came out too high...not sure where I went wrong...

do you want me to list what I put on and maybe someone can tell me where I failed to add up?

edit: list

stat - item - # used (total EV's given)

HP - HP Up - 10 (100) total Health given = 102
HP - Health Wing - 2 (2) plus PKRS = 204

SA - Calcium - 10 (100) total SA given = 102
SA - Genius Wing - 2 (2) plus PKRS = 204

SD - Zinc - 10 (100) total SD given = 100
SD - clever wing - 0 (0) plus PKRS = 200

Spd - Carbos - 10 (100) total speed given = 157
Spd - Swift wing - 1 (1) plus PKRS = 314
Spd - Basculin - 28 (56)

total combined = 922 O_O

No items attached to impact, just PKRS....fwiw it's a DW exeggcute. I ran the raw lvl 10 stats though the IV calculator and it came up:

0-9/10-19/0-9/0-9/10-19/31

32/14/18/18/15/16 raw UT stats @ lvl 10
55/22/30/34/27/34 post EVing @ lvl 18 ("max effort" comment)
Mild/alert to sounds/"decent overall"/speed "can't be better"

think that's everything.....where'd I go wrong? (and remember: this egg was to help me learn how to EV properly as I keep messing it up -- obviously I have more to learn)

EV-boosting items don't work with vitamins/wings

Also submitting a screenshot can often help

what do you mean they don't work? can you elaborate on that a bit....

and if that really is correct then an edit of http://www.serebii.net/games/evs.shtml might be in order

^^^ In other words, EV-Boosting items don't add extra evs when using vitamins/wings. Vitamins still give 10 each, regardless of what Item your holding. Same with 1 EV wings.

If you hold a Mach Brace and feed it a Protein, you still get 10 Attack EVs, not 20. Same goes for Pokerus. The effects only happen while battling.
