255 is the maximum.

Correct. However, due to the way the game formula works, the highest EV value you can reap benefits from is 252.

True, but irrelevant in the context because the statement he wrote is that 252 is maximum.

4. Why do people think it's possible to place 255 EV's in one stat? Blue Harvest didn't post that on her guide.

5. ^you can put 255 in one stat, but it's pointless since it's not divisible by 4. it is maybe a little insignificant because it's just one stat point you're missing out on though..

I'm guessing you haven't been EV training properly...

http://www.serebii.net/games/evs.shtml

If you look it says near the beginning about maximums.

Thanks for clearing that up. I'll keep that in mind when I'm EV training a non-weather team.

I don't see what weather has to do with it but okay.

9. Theres no point in putting 255 ev's in a stat. You might as well put 252,

10. I have a problem, i guess i´ll post it here. I just hatched a gible, i EV trained her, now she is a lv50 Garchomp, but when i go to random match it says "there is a problem with your pokemon" why cant i use her? she is legal. Is it becouse she has pokerus? someone please help me.

The other 5 pokemon are legal too, they have no problem figthning in random match, its just Garchomp

I don't know...what move does it have? It also might be good to see the rest of your team.

12. So what are some held items to use?

Usually depends on the pokemon.

Life Orb is a good offensive choice, and leftovers is a good defensive one. Choice Scarf/Specs/Band can be used for extra power or speed.

14. that's only 5.

15. WAIT WAIT WAIT! i just read the Sheer Force AbilityDex page. IT NEGATES THE RECOIL OF LIFE ORB!?!
Do I still get the effect? Does it really negate recoil or is it wrong?

A Starmie would be good with either Choice Specs, Choice Scarf, or Light Clay depending on its moveset.
A Red Card would be good for Pokemon.... I dunno. That doesn't like getting hit?
A Binding Band woudl be good for something that can use Sand Tomb. There are a bunch of combinations!

No it's absolutely correct. It neglects LO recoil for moves that get the boost from Sheer Force. For example, Sheer Force Darmanitan would not get LO recoil from Flare Blitz but would get LO recoil from U-Turn

that is freaking amazing!

19. So I recently found my DSi after a while. When I last played, I was working on putting together this team. After the obvious flaw in the team was pointed out (Drizzletoed and Volcarona on the same team), I decided to replace Volcarona with a Choice Band Golurk. However, when I left off, Thundurus was simply on watch, and now that I'm playing again it's an uber.

I'd like to have a team eligible for OU, so what would be a good replacement for Thundurus?

20. ^You could always use(don't laugh) a rain set for Volcarona. Bug Buzz/Hurricane/Hidden Power of some sort/Quiver Dance.

You could also use Tornadus, preferably specs.

Rain Volcarona.

That's actually a brilliant idea.

It's actually not my idea, I've seen it quite a few times, and it's actually rather annoying.

Hurricane from it is just as powerful as it's Bug Buzz, and has a good chance to cause confusion.

Eh, good idea nonetheless.

Hurricane was actually part of the reason I originally used it, but I scrapped it due to the fact that it made Fiery Dance less viable, whcich was its best STAB. If I put Fire Blast on it, I could get enough damage to make it viable.

Hidden power water for rain boost.

25. Just name a 6th one so I can fake knowing what I'm doing with Items.

So a Conkeldurr that is somehow using all three of it's possible Abilities and is holding Life Orb destroys all opponents with Hammer Arm ?
