Does anyone think that an Espeon is viable on a Sunny Day team? I believe it work, especially taking into consideration all the new grass and bugs given us by 5th gen.
Also, has anyone toyed around with a Cheer Up Umbreon? Seems like it could work if you know what you are doing.

Espeon may find uses on a Sunny Day team (Reflect / Moonlight / Psychic / HP Fire or something) but Cheer Up Umbreon will not. It already gets Curse which makes better use of its almost literally Dark / Normal movepool.

Thanks. I was just wondering about the Cheer Up Umbreon, figured it was a lost cause. That Espy set looks viable Blue Harvest I'll have to try it out on PO. Thanks again.

Would anyone think fire fang useful on a Krookodile? I noticed it covers slot of his weaknesses and hurts grass steel bug steels

I have a question. Im wondering if there is a way to make pikachu viable with out the light ball since the 5th gen has taken it away. I want to implement it in my team some how.

i have never battled competitively and want to go for it with 5th gen, but im a bit confused about team roles. i realize there are many team roles such as mixed, physical, and special sweepers, walls, stalls, hazers, etc. however, what are the general team makeups/ rules of thumb? like, would the following be an alright team makeup?

    wall
    physical
    physical
    special
    special
    mixed

or should i not be repeating roles? etc. its these kinds of things im curious about

    Darmanitan or Conkeldurr?

Both with Sheer Force @ Life Orb

Darmanitan has higher speed (95) but lower def/sdef (55/55).
Conkeldurr has lower speed (45) but higher def/sdef (95/65).
HP and Atk for both is (105/140).

Role would be Physical Sweep or Wall Breaker.

You should be worried about opposing weather changers, such as TTar or Abomasnow, they will cancel out any of your weather affects.

Who is/are the most reliable Special Sweeper(s) for a Sunny Day team?

Well, you have Solar Power Charizard, which hits like a truck; Volcarona with Butterfly Dance, Heatran, Doredia and Venusaur.

If you're playing Dream World Shandera is amazing in the sun. It can even stop some bulky waters. Scarf is the standard but Specs is ok at removing other weather starters (Specs HP Fighting OHKOs TTar, Overheat OHKOs Hippowdon and Energy Ball 2HKOs all Politoed).

If a pokemon uses "Power Trick"--to average the user and the opponent's attack stats--and the opponent switches out, are the effects kept? That is, does the opponent keep the atk stat granted by "Power trick"? And also what happens to the "Power trick" user who didn't switch? Or is the user switches out first?

If the effects are not removed I see no reason why there are no Shuckle running this...

Ferrothorn. I need to teach it both Stealth Rock and Leech Seed which are both Egg Moves for him. I can't figure out how to accomplish this. Can someone help me?

Its impossible. No Pokemon can pass both to Ferro through breeding.

Its ok though, Ferrothorn should be setting up Spikes.

Stealth Rock isn't required to use as a lead, but it's recommended to, since it puts high pressure on your opponent at the beginning of the match. If you use an offensive Aggron, I think you should let another pokemon handle the setting Stealth Rock part.

I think Venipede and Scolipede are awesome looking pokérmanz and I'd love to train one and have it in my main/reserves team if I can find a use for it. I really don't want to spend hours levelling it up with me through the main story, trying to get it to work out as a valid member of the team, when it never will be.

What are Bug/Poison types good for? Can you suggest a good non-competitive build for a Scolipede?

I genuinely don't know, but tell me if you've ever discovered a use for Bug/Poisons types.

I don't believe there is one. Now, the ability Simple does that, but no items.
