Well it appears the Rays ran out of gas. Had their chances in game 2 and 3 and blew them, now they just look like there is no fight left.

Outted by the rangers for the second year. Rays just don't know how to beat them

Well, the Yankees are one game away from elimination. Looks like we have to put our faith in A.J. Burnett to not give up a bunch of runs. He was decent in September, which I guess is all we can ask from him now. Just gotta hope that he doesn't perform like he did earlier in the season...

Rays are done, I guess. Kind of disappointing post-season after their amazing last regular season game. I doubt the Rangers will be that good against the Yankees/Tigers, though.

They're just not the same without Cliff Lee...

What has he done this season to make you feel that way? Just curious.

Lee. He destroyed the Yankees in the Postseason.

I believe phoopes was talking about Burnett, however.

I was talking about Burnett. So...

@Larry: What has A.J. Burnett done this season to make you confident in him? I certainly haven't seen anything that would make me hand him the ball with the Yankees' playoff hopes on the line.

Oh, I thought he quoted my Cliff Lee post.

About Burnett. He has his moments and big games and hopefully tonight he'll have one.

I believe his last start was pretty strong against the Red Sox with only 2 runs.

Are you being sarcastic? Maybe I'm too far any from the situation, but I'd have no confidence in him. Same with John Lackey this year.

    ...

Ok, looks like you're not being sarcastic. I just know I'd be nervous if my season was riding on him.

Yeah, I'm dissapointed as well. I've never cared for the Rays, but I was rooting for them to advance.

The Yankee offense is due for a big game and Burnett should get plenty of run support.

Aw f*ck the rangers. I yelled at Mike Napoli when I was at the game "YOUR A PIECE OF SH*T, DICKHEAD!" because he hit a go-ahead 3 run shot in the ninth and we had 6/7/8 comin up

I wish I was but then I'd have a pretty bad reputation and when I got to school everyone'd be friggin goddamn staring at me, and I hate that. I used to like him. I met him when I was seven at the beach, and then he played catch with me with a beach ball. But I was just mad.. because he ruined my day.

if they were ever do then today would be the best day. Porcello has a 5.64 ERA in Detroit and at this point both teams aren't sending out pitchers that are aces really. The series might be decided by which team can hit better and with the Yankees power hitters struggling it would certainly suck for a die-hard Yankee fan to lose because their big money guys couldn't hit.

It's not the best ballpark for hitters.
