Pokemon Dream World Discussion Thread - Read the FAQ in the first post!

Since this is for anything and all things DW, I'd like to point out so that the people in charge of the pokedex will be able to read this that in the DW moves for Lunatone that it can learn earth power. I don't know if anyone has already posted on this as I just got it earlier today and checked it out on the pokedex. Currently the only DW move it has for Lunatone is moonlight. I figured that letting people know here would be good anyway.

It's listed as one of Lunatone's DW moves on Bulbapedia, but not on Serebii, as you said. Bulbapedia is usually the most reliable site to use for the most recent information, since it's updated more often than Serebii.

Ugh! The Frozen Treat Sweep minigame has just become my least favorite minigame in the DW. I have now lost 4 consecutive times at that particular game because I can't rack up points fast enough on my relatively slow PC.

It's hard to get points in that game in the first place because your character moves so slow.

My Japanese Dream World session yesterday was annoying since some glitches prevented me from visiting other people's houses, but I still managed to access the Island of Dreams. I was sent to the Rugged Mountain, Spooky Manor and Icy Cave areas and I befriended 7 Pokemon; I was in the rush and didn't have time to waste. I decided to keep a male Shuckle and then I returned to my house to harvest my berries. I planted some Durin, Watmel, Leppa, Lum and Belue Berries in the soil and then I called it a day.

Bought the Tropical Hut today, now there's nothing left for me to buy. Hmmm what to plant now...

My Japanese Dream World session was pretty cool since I managed to befriend tons of female Pokemon after visiting the Rugged Mountain, Spooky Manor and Pleasant Forest areas. I kept a female Poliwag at the Tree of Drams and I returned to my Dream House after that. I bought a potted plant and then I harvested my berries. I planted some Magost and Wepear Berries in the soil and then I watered other people's berries. I swapped some items on a few Share Shelves and then I logged off.

It's hard to get points in that game in the first place because your character moves so slow.

I don't think it's possible to get more than around 35000-36000 points on that minigame.

And I often have bad luck if it's Snorunt that I have to befriend, I keeps getting Weather Ball or Powder Snow, when the one I want is Water Pulse. Even if I managed to get around 35000-36000 points on that minigame, it's still quite common to see Powder Snow instead of Weather Ball or Water Pulse.
It's not until today that I got one with Water Pulse, unfortunately it is male, so I didn't pick it.




Also, apparently any pending Dream Pal request you've made is counted towards the amount of your Dream Pal, even though it's still a pending request......
I can't send a request despite having 1 more spot for my Dream Pal, and the only reason I can see is because I already have 1 pending request.
It's not that the people I'm sending a request to has a full list either, he actually has three more empty spots.

Most likely, it's to anticipate both request getting accepted leading to someone having more Dream Pals than they should.

I finally have a desktop PC at home, so I can use the DW now beyond just watering berries and hoping my notebook laptop doesn't disconnect from it at random.

Both Black and White's DW sessions were pretty uninteresting. I took home a Nidoran on one and a Elekid on the other. I changed out some berries, watered others, and visited a few houses.

I still have a few of the new Pokedolls to purchase (which is absolutely my favorite DW feature).

._. My DW session decided to glitch on me. I got to go into the Pleasant Forest twice. The only thing I can think of is that my Cherrim had a nightmare. XD

I decided to keep a Sap Sipper Male Marill because he knew Aqua Jet...I really wanted an Aqua Jetting Huge Power Marill...so I'll breed him. 8D

Can anyone help me? I haven't been able to log back into the dream world through Game Sync since 09/05/12 14:28. Every time I attempt to do so it says the battery hasn't charged. I haven't touched the time on my DS. The only thing I did that day was I traded pokemon between my two ds's and switched my black into my other ds because my other ds was dying. I'm very upset and irritated at this point because I STILL can't access the DW.

My Dream World session was average today. I managed to access the Rugged Mountain, Windswept Sky and Pleasant Forest areas, and I befriended 9 Pokemon in total. I decided to keep the only female in the group (a Cacnea), and then I left the Tree of Dreams. I headed over to other gardens and I watered other people's berries. I then searched through other people's Share Shelves and I found a Metal Coat, which I swapped for. I also harvested my berries after that, and then I signed off.

And therein lies your problem. You cannot switch the cartridge to another DS within 20 hours of the last time that you accessed the Dream World/reset the time/switched the cartridge over because the game will sync to the new time in the DS that you switched it into.

Whatever cartridge your Black is in now, turn it on, load it up, and then play it/turn it off/whatever and let it sit in that DS for AT LEAST 20 hours. Not 19 hours and 59 minutes, 20 hours. Then you should be able to access the DW again. And don't use any cheating devices, change the time, or attempt to access the DW while you are waiting. Wait 20 hours before doing anything.

My White game is slowly catching up with my Black games point total - only 3800 difference now, from more than 20, 000. I took home my b-day Togokiss in my Black and planted more berries.
In my white i befriended around 15 or so pokes and took a Zen Headbutt Solrock. Harvested my berries and planted a full garden of Chilean berries. I only needed to visit 3 pals to empty my watering can - and I could have still used more. My DWF Snorunt gained another level, she is up to level 17 now.
Tomorrow I am taking an hour long drive to the nearest GameStop store to get my Wi-Fi Keldeo on both games. Anyone else get theirs yet?

Had a great session yesterday. Well, first of all, I signed up for the next worldwide tournament. Crossing my fingers and knocking on wood that my router survives for it. Anyway, I had an entire garden full of grown berries and picked them all. The Island of Dreams worlds were quite varied and I collected 10 Pokemon. Unfortunately the only females I got were a Misdreavus and Gastly, all of which I got already and neither had alternate abilities. I brought back a Butterfree with Tinted Lens and Roost.

Had a nice session today. Got a Cleanse Tag, Oval Stone, and Fire Stone. The Oval Stone being a new item. ^_^

Just Mystic Water, Red Card, Moon Stone, and Iron Ball to go.

If you want Serebii members to be your DW friends, go to The Dream World ID Exchange Thread and follow the directions in the first post.

And get at least 500 DW points in one session and you will have made a pun in your first sentence there

After tucking in a Pokemon on the Global Link site, I headed to the Dream World. I accessed the Island of Dreams upon arrival, and I visited the Spooky Manor and Rugged Mountain areas. I befriended 10 Pokemon in total and I kept a Larvitar. I returned to my house afterward, and I bought some dolls from the furniture catalog. I harvested some of my berries and planted others, and then I wandered off to water other people's berries. I found some good items on Share Shelves, and I swapped for those before signing off.
