This episode was ok... It was cool to see Doryuuzu and Pendoraa for the 1st time. Pendoraa is huge! It was cool and funny to see the Yanappu vs Kibago battle, even though it wasn't full out battling. It was funny to watch Kibago's failed Dragon Rage attack. It was great to see Toxic attack in the Anime. It was interesting to hear how Iris was given Kibago and to see the village (flashback) and Onondo again. It was cool to see Kibago use a failed Dragon Rage attack so that they could find where they went.

When I heard Dragon Sneeze, I couldn't help but laugh. Ah the humor these days.

Scolipede was pretty cool to see in the anime, but I didn't enjoy it's voice too much, but I could care less.

Excadrill is a freaking beast. But seeing it disobeys Iris, looks like he/she takes after Ash's Charizard and Dawn's Mamoswine. :P Hope to see it in a couple more episodes to come.

It's also nice that we get some more backstory to Iris and Axew, especially explaining where Iris comes from and how she got her Axew. I just cant wait to reach the point where that little Axew is fulled evolved into a Haxorus and we'll be looking back when it all began.

I liked this episode. It was nice to see Iris & Cilan battling, especially with Axew being in his first battle. Dragon Sneeze was a nice touch too. Hopefully Axew can make it Dragon Rage. I did like Iris & Axew backstory as well as seeing Iris with another Pokémon. It does seem redundant that Excadrill disobeys Iris, like Charizard with Ash and Mamoswine with Dawn, but whatever. I too thought Scolipede's voice was kind of weird, but it is nothing too major. Poor Axew!

I think this is an exceptional episode, and really the best of BW so far.

The whole 30 mins is great, so it's hard to really focus anything out. Only minor complaint is that Ash really isn't as insensitive as he's shown to be here; but I think this is all in fun, so it's okay. The Dragon Sneeze joke was really good (the way Cilan and Ash made it up just to tease Iris is something we all do with our friends), as was Pikachu's and Ash's battle at the end of the episode-both of these required the Ash is insensitive aspect to really work.

I can appreciate Iris's concern about training at her own pace, and I think it's worthwhile. Again, Ash would definitely be more sensitive to Iris's feelings on this matter if written in character, but this episode wouldn't be as enjoyable if he were.

Pikachu's impersonations were awesome, as always.

It was a good episode. Axew trying to use Dragon Rage reminds me of Gible trying to use Draco Meteor. And Excadrill reminds of Charizard when it didn't listen to Ash. Excadrill put up quite a fight with Scolipede.

I think thats the point. As axew closes it's mouth like it is sneezing and then there is a sudden explosion of power. I am assuming it does this because it is frightened maybe of the power itself and this power needs to be mastered for the dragon rage to work.

In terms of the episode I loved it. The first half involved Iris explaining Axew's backstory and then a bit of interaction with the gang which I thought was really nice especially pikachu acting like the 'big brother' to axew making sure it was alright when it was picking apples, I hope this is a running thing. The second half was to save axew from the scolipede. Scolipede doesn't have half a temper and once it starts it won't finish and it needs excadrill to make it blast off just to make it stop. Speaking of excadrill it was nice to see him, I was very surprised. I thought that pokeball was Axew's and Iris was going to return axew but we got charizard version 3, I mean excadrill but what an awesome pokemon it was.

I wonder if the writers are gonna do the same thing or somewhat close to the same way Ash did to bond with Charizard. Still liked the cold shoulder Excadrill gave in the episode can't wait to see more of it.

Not true, there have been plenty of other human vs Pokemon battles before. Two that come to mind are once way back in Johto when Bruno battled a Tyrogue and Jessie battling Seviper as a way of catching it. I'm sure there's more, but those are just two that come to mind.

Bad episode. Worst of BW so far. Even though it had some significant plot points, it was boring and bland. I hated Scolipede's voice too.

5/10. Thank god next week is the rival battle.
