Stupid things that you thought/did with pokemon as a kid

- Healing your Pokemon more consecutive times at a Pokemon Center would make them stronger. I couldn't get past Loreli's Cloyster, and I tried that, and I was actually convinced that it worked when I finally beat it.

I done that too in my Yellow game XD I was like GET STRINGER PIKACHU XD

- I believed that cutting the link cord while trading would cause all of the Pokemon to leak from the game into our world. Thank god I never tried it.

My sis tried doing that with the wireless connectors for my GBA's..she fail'd XD

- I thought Water was super effective against Ice types (since it would make the Ice melt faster or some random thing like that) and Steel types (since I thought it would rust in a matter of seconds).

I thought that aswell..esp the steel type water one..wow o.o

- When I heard Ghost had no weaknesses, I thought that it meant that it couldn't be damaged by anything.

Well, to me. Not really xD nya~

- My Bulbasaur with a moveset of Leech Seed/Vine Whip/Razor Leaf/Solar Beam was going to cruise through the game.

Yep, except my Bulba was a Venasaur and it really did rip through most of the game with those moves, no kidding.

- I overestimated type advantage a lot. I thought I could sweep the Cianwood gym because I dragged out my level 10 Abra out of the box.

I knew someone who thought super-effective moves did ten times the damage instead of x2. I never did, since I always had the internet to check facts.

- Made a mistake while cloning in Gold...Bye Bye Ho-Oh and Snorlax
- thought (and still think) that Metronome is a good move...the cute little Togepi can use all the super powerful moves in the game
- Wanted to teach everything Hyper Beam in Silver, because I thought that it was the most powerful move in the game...
- I thought that the power of a move was related to how awesome (in my opinion) the animation was in G/s/c...My favorite moves : Sky Attack, Hyper beam, Aeroblast, Solar beam, hydro Pump, and...Aurora Beam...I really liked the laser beams when I was 12...

3 years ago when l was 8, l got an action replay, and l just hacked my diamond till the end of its life, now l miss my diamond :-(

hmmmm I thought that marril was in blue and was called Pikablue, and you could only catch it by completing the pokedex including mew....

I also thought that you had to have level 100 pokemon to compete in the emerald battle frontier

and I thought shouckle evolved into cradilly.... XD

I remember not knowing how to switch the pokemon in my party so my starter would always be 15 levels stronger and I would just catch a stronger pokemon whenever I found one. Oh when I was 10...

When I played yellow, I would get to rock cave and ditch Pikachu. I think I just continued to go on without it and used a Pidgeotto, a Drowzee and I can't remember what happened next.

Haha, I only use Chansy for Softboiled to use on my team members. I was lucky to catch one in the Safari Zone on RBY. I never even knew about the Lucky Egg until recently. OMG, I forgot about Blissey.

When I first started playing pokemon, I thought that if you two different pokemon in the Day Care, when you get an egg the pokemon inside it would be deformed or a mixture of both of the parents!
