Very nice song. The lyrics are alright, the music and progression is good, and the singer's got a very nice voice. Pretty good song you've picked out here.

How about an instrumental, for a change of pace: Dream Theater - The Dance of Eternity

My opinions on Dream Theater are very mixed. I'll give this one a 7/10, though, because it's actually pretty cool to listen to even if it's near impossible to really keep track of.
And while I'd like to post something really heavy, I won't. "Walking on Air" by King Crimson.
I don't know any Crimson beyond In the Wake of Poseidon, but I love their first two albums.
This track is all right, the bass has quite a nice groove. And the guitars are quite interesting, and the chord progression is nice.

Lupe Fiasco - Words I Never Said ft. Skylar Grey
5/10.
Not the best thing I've heard from him, to be honest, but it's fair. What really saves the song, though, is the chorus. Has a fairly decent beat, though fairly heard at times, as he sings.
Bruce Hornsby-Mandolin Rain
Just a few things: One, my apologizes for the video. It's not easy finding a great quality version of this song. Two, the video is very much like that of "The Ring." Watch it, and in seven days, you die. ;x Let it play, but look away! Third, this is, indeed, an old song; keep that in mind.
It sounds really generic, but in a really good way. Sounds like your typical 80's ballad, but its a nice chord progression, and singer is clearly a good singer. Ah the power ballad drum beat just came in, now were talking lol. All its missing is an overblown guitar solo.
7/10
Skepticism - Sign Of A Storm
lol im not goin through 10 minutes of that.Funeral doom metal from Riihimäki, Finland. From Skepticism's first full-length album titled "Stormcrowfleet", released in 1995 under Red Stream Records.

Why not? It's actually surprisingly uplifting, and the point of the thread is to listen to something outside your comfort zone and give you a potentially better understanding of music you might not otherwise try.
And its better than tool![]()
8/10.
Really, really good. It reminds me of another group, I just can't recall which, currently. But there's just something in the sound and the delivery that I've heard elsewhere. It's going to drive me crazy until I remember. Going to have to look into some of this groups other works.
I Hope I Become A Ghost - The Deadly Syndrome
6/10
Mind screw. And while it's a cute song, the music really doesn't match the singer's style.
Epica - The Last Crusade
Not familliar with the track, but I do like the band. It sounds very typically epica, which is a good thing. The death metal elements they had on the phantom agony seem all but gone too.
8/10
Nashville Skyline - Carry You Home (Extended Oth Version)
(I must warn, it does seem quite quiet so you might have to turn up)

I started not liking it, but it got better and better. Didn't really like the female singer though, but I suppose that's just my taste.
Lucy by Skillet
It's not bad; the sound is quite nice, but like most songs here on SPPf, the screaminess is a tad too much for my taste. Still a 7/10, though.
Major Lazer - Pon De Floor
bwahaha

6/10: Catchy, but really not my type of music. I didn't hate it, but didn't love it. The catchiness made it +1.
Knights of Cydonia by Muse
Hmmm 7/10... i liked the beat at some points but not really the lyrics.
Change Your Mind by The Killers
- Claimed:
6/10: Meh, didn't love it but didn't hate it. Kinda catchy, but not the best :/
Punkb*tch by 3oh!3 (EXPLICIT! LIKE, VERY!)
3oh!3 = My lovers hence 8/10
Mozart Season - GWTS

3/10, Argh! I couldn't even stand getting into three minutes of that. It was just to...I don't know, I just did not like it. Too mellow for me :/
It's Getting Boring by the Sea by The Blood Red Shoes
that was generic and boring, and female vocalists are usually bleh and this was no exception
3/10
DMV - Primus
4/10 Couldn't stand the guy's voice :/ Sounded like nails on a chalkboard to me.
Going Under - Evanescence
Thats something of a blast from the past. I've not heard that since I was about 14. I thikn I like it for nostalgia more than anything.
7/10
Graveland - White Beasts of Wotan
