I'm certainly not the biggest Coheed and Cambria fan, but I guess Sentry the Defiant is pretty good so far, but it is something that makes me crave the new album. It sounds way too barren and just not right as an acoustic performance. 6.5/10 for the performance, 8.5/10 for general hopefulness about the album.

I see that you must be Australian, if you know about Karnivool. Great band, I must say. And a great song from a great album, as well. By far one of my favourite from the album. 9/10.

The kids are ready to die - the airborne toxic event; I would give it a 8/10 because I enjoyed the meaningful lyrics to the song.

Iconic musician, iconic song. Such a moving song, and one of the greatest. Although, I'm not such a John Lennon fan. 8/10.

Eh, 4/10. Bass was kinda repetitive, drums moreso and very quiet, keys were almost completely inaudible, and the sax/guitars combo just wasn't very pleasing to the ears (it's hard to record wind instruments well). The vocals drowned out all the instruments but the sax to be honest.
Cemetery Gates - Pantera
That song was off their first album, which just came out a month ago. They're very new. Flying Colors is a "supergroup" band with Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater, Avenged Sevenfold, Adrenaline Mob, Liquid Tension Experiment, Transalantic, Neal Morse), Neal Morse (Spock's Beard, Transalantic, Neal Morse), Steve Morse (Dixie Dregs, Deep Purple, Kansas), Dave LaRue (Joe Satriani, Dixie Dregs, John Petrucci, Steve Morse), and Casey McPherson (Alpha Rev, Endochine). They're progressive rock, most of the songs on their album sound pretty different.

welcome to the jungle-Guns n Roses
2nd May 2012, 7:49 AM
It goes pretty much without saying that a lot of people have heard Welcome to the Jungle at least once in their life, and it became a radio staple for a not completely unreasonable, er, reason -- it's a rip-roaring rocker with a pretty-good-for-the-radio hook. Overall, though, it's become kind of overplayed to me, and the lyrics aren't much to speak of. Also, the same band's Right Next Door to Hell is far better. 7/10, or something.
Good choice, by the way.

Honestly, I didn't mind it. The beginning part I didn't like, but I really liked the chorus. I wouldn't mind listening to more of them though.
I keep on getting pretty lengthy songs (I'm one for 3-5minute songs) whenever I go on this thread, so here's a short one.
