Glad you liked it, they're probably the best 'metal' band going.
SHOTGUN. I want the Iron Maiden one!

Afraid to Shoot Strangers - Iron Maiden
Rising from the ashes of a rather mediocre record, this track is one of Maiden's finest. As Pokeshippers said, the riff in the middle of the song is just fantastic; so catchy it's unbelievable! Rest of the track is cool too, nice and suspenseful. While I still say that the S/T and 'Killers' era was their best, this track holds its own. 7/10

    Right, my last 'heavy' song for now;
Heaven in Her Arms - Converge

I don't think many will 'get' this. From one of the greatest albums ever though, methinks. Enjoy, children!

@primavista that was a good song but in my opinion not as good as the one before 6/10.

Here's something that isn't metal or heavy =D

9/10. One of the better Muse tracks.

Hall & Oates - You Make My Dreams (also not heavy or metal)

OH BOY! That is possibly the best Hall & Oates picture I've ever seen (the first one)! Haha. Dat moustache...

So 80s it hurts, but seriously that's no problem at all. Maybe not quite as memorable as some of their tracks, this is a pretty nice pop song. Fun and funky! 6/10
Moving away from metal and hardcore into twee pop now - obviously, can't you see the connection?

Sorry Primavista... that one didn't tickle my fancy much, I don't even know what I should rate it :/

Now here's a classic that everyone should know.

Smoke on the Water - Deep Purple

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zUwEIt9ez7M

I was going to give you a live version from the essential album but chose against it.

Gutted! They're one of my 'personal discoveries', one of those artists that no-one else I know has heard. I quite like twee stuff, if it's clever!

Right, Smoke on the Water. Everyone learns 'dat riff' as soon as they pick up a guitar, but what about the rest of the song? Sadly, it's nothing too hot. Perhaps it's the middling tempo, but something makes this track lag; by the time you reach the solo it already feels like the six minutes should be up. All-in-all, it's very representative of its time, without really pushing any boundries and sadly lacks the 'tunage' of other acts like Rainbow. Really, those first ten seconds are all you need. 4/10

    Shotgun Messiah - Heartbreak Blvd.
Man, Steel Panther sound exactly like these guys, huh? Fairly generic glam rock, but with a dirtier production than most. Plus, there's some cool scratching effects in there and some COWBELL that prevents this from taking a real nosedive. Not my thing, but certainly worth more merit than most glam! 5/10

This next one is from Jonny Craig's solo album. Look him up if you haven't heard of him; he's a wild guy. Voice of an angel though.

I Still Feel Her, Part III - Jonny Craig

    EDIT: Reviewed Alchemist's too.

@Fullmetal that song was actually good I liked it I'll give it a 7/10

Now a song that deviates far from all the songs I've posted so far, quite simply the best song in existence.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kfVsfOSbJY0

Open it and weep as your soul shivers from the spellbinding lyrics.

that song is so powerful. i mean, there is so much thought and depth in those lyrics. deciding which seat to take symbolizes the paths you take in real life. there's a 'good seat' and a 'bad seat'. and it's much more of a struggle in adolescents. the 'bad' seat represents the need to fit in, and willingness to do anything in order to; the 'good' seat is not being phased by the need to fit in, and just being yourself.

    10/10

    Tainted Love - Soft Cell

oh it's a love/hate romance. 'cause i could watch her dance, if i've got my boots.

I heard the Gloria Jones version before, but I like this one better. 8/10.

    LOLOLOL.

Now, Tainted Love. Honestly, this is one of the greatest pop songs of all time; coming from me, that's a pretty big accolade. Proving that synth-pop can be just as dark and mysterious as it can be light and cheery, Tainted Love is one of the very few cover songs that's quite blatantly superior to the original. Memorable, a great mood and wonderfully composed; a real classic!
    9/10

    Oops, Alchemist sneaks in again!

Gary Portnoy - Where Everybody Knows Your Name (Cheers Theme)
Ahh, the cheers theme. What needs to be said? A really lovely tune, even if it's not too great as a standalone track. Still, never mind that; just whap on an episode of Cheers! 6/10

My turn again. A stunningly beautiful song in every sense of the word. Give the lyrics a real listen.

Was that really it? Will wondered. Was that what they were all doing, looking for someone less different? Was that what he was doing? Rachel was dynamic and thoughtful and focused and caring and different in more ways than he could count, but the whole point of Rachel, as far as Will was concerned, was that she wasn't him. There was a flaw in Katrina's logic, then. This thing about looking for someone less different ... It only really worked, he realised, if you were convinced that being you wasn't so bad in the first place.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IYOYlqOitDA here's the link if anyone wants to listen. I wouldn't recommend it though. The only saving factor of that song is Slash and even he isn't great in this. It's awful. Nowhere near as good as GnR classics which aren't that good anyway. 3/10

I couldn't really get into it, the singer sounded out-of-tune sometimes, and the guitar was only decent. 4/10.

Solitude Within -- The vocals don't always sound their best, but I don't dislike it. Every time I look at the lyrics, though, I notice they're dropping one-syllable words at the beginning of a lot of lines. I should check if I still have their albums around. 8/10
