uurgh, are you picking the black metal I don't like?
Though to be fair, the older stuff I do like a bit, and At the Heart of winter was a decent album. But recently they don't seem to be doing much for me. I think its Abbaths vocals that put me off.

I really don't like that kind of stuff really, but it was kinda good tho,
I usually don't listen to that kind of music, only at special occations.

Not as good as their classics back in the day. But good none the less. I feel the riff is a bit lazy though, given Lief wrote Solitude, this riff sucks in comparison.
Still, its still a lot better than a lot of stuff.

    I worded it better? *shrug*

Also, remember to actually post why you disliked a song =\

Oh Lord it's catchy. Not really a big fan of his voice or of folk music in general, though.

    A 0/10 doesn't need an explanation.

9/10 I love that song. And the Stones.

Now that there is a classic. There's something about the stones when they are at their best, and I don't know what it is. But there is a certain energy about them thats really irresistible at times. Really catchy riff too.

    10/10

    Annwn - Mountain's Farewell
(Youll have to excuse the drum machine, its only a demo track that was given away on a free promo, and he didn't have the best of equipment at the time)

edit: I was on about the stones obviously. Never saw the fuss with CC

It does when its been said that you need at least 1 complete sentence regarding the music in order to post yourself, to stop it turning into a post your song for no reason thread. Also encourages people to listen all the way through, rather than just a mintue and turn off.

AMAZING. Pure gold. I completely love this. Reminds me of this song I'm using....same artist? No....I don't think so....I haven't listened to the song I'm for a while for the first place XD

Sorry, some of these lyrics are off.

    Sonata Arctica - Full moon

(Ninja'd 5/10, decent. Not really my style QingLong, gets a five because the beats pretty good.....)

Not a fan of the vocals, they seem distorted for no reason. Or is the music bad quality, idk. It actually bored me a lot and I ended up closing it after a couple of minutes since it's the same riffs over and over and since I don't like the vocals, the dependence on the vocals for difference just didn't do it for me.

8/10 Much better than most modern death metal, sounds vaguely thrash-like. Vocals are pretty stongs and sound neither too hoarse or too over the top .Nice solo at the end as well.

I find this odd, coming from someone into their power metal. Given that Helloween were essentially playing mid 90's power metal ten years earlier, and are one of the most influential bands when it comes to power metal. I suggest you go and listen to Keeper of the Seven Keys parts 1 and 2 if your into power metal, which it would seem you are.

    As for Skinny Puppy

Sounds quite industrial to me. Not sure I like the distorted vocals. The synth bass is interesting, but I'm not sure as to how well it works, it sticks out a bit too much for me. It reminds me of an electronic band trying to do rock. Whilst it's interesting, I'm not sure If I like it.
    4/10

Whilst there was a bit of a power metal theme going on...

I'm less familiar with newer halloween, but it seems pretty decent.
Though I think I prefer Kiske's voice. I think the riff in the verse sounds a little un-inspired too, and the chorus I think could have been a little more 'epic' if they had treid, but all in all I think its a pretty decent track.

Oddly I've not listened to a lot of his material. Its quite a nice crunchy tone he has there. I don't feel it though, it seems like a track composed as an exercise in playing guitar. Its nice, but not particularly memorable. The ending solo is nice though.

I don't know if its youtube, or whether it was a Vinyl rip or what, but the sound quality doesn't sound great. Decent guitar tone, though I prefer my death metal more thrashy. That said, it temporarily get thrasher. The bass is nice and audiable though. Decent song, but nothing special I dont feel.
