    But really Lenora's strategyy was clever, but she should have her stupid *** watchog spam confuse ray or something. Seeing Ash get pissed would have been funny.

    Well, at least Ash didn't succumb to the combination of Hypnosis/Confuse Ray with some Retaliate thrown in to the mix.

    ^ Actually, I think that would have been a lot more interesting than what we got here. I like what you guys are thinking.

    Meh, I'm not a fan of Oshawott and Tepig starring two gyms in a row. I would have liked to see Pidove get some attention after that bad loss against Trip's Frillish.

    I really dig Lenora in the anime, really badass and confident, not to mention removing her Apron was a good move tbh.'

    Her Roar+mean look combo was also pretty clever, althrough it would never work in the game. I guess the writers could have used other pokemon than tepig and oshawott again, but since the starring role has changed here, I dont mind.

    The battle itself was alright, it showcased the main flaw of BW ash, mainly the lack of training he does with his pokemon. Lillipup was insane tho, that speed with take down and Shadow ball was indeed scary.

    8/10, a sad loss results in training for a glorious comeback next episode.

    Lenora winning here seemed like a cruel twist but it did prove once again that Ash needed to train his Unova Pokemon lots more. 5/10

    I liked the test that Lenora gave Ash in the library and her Lillipup seemed so lovable at first, but soon turned vicious. ^^; Watchog's Mean Look seemed kind of unfair, but I liked seeing Don George help Ash.

    Good Gym match episode. I kind of had a bad feeling Satoshi would lose, but Aloe's strategy with Miruhog was perfect. Satoshi just didn't stand a chance with such under-trained Pokemon, although I do wonder why he didn't bother using Pikachu. What I liked most was seeing Satoshi start training in the end.

    Before the Gym battle, Lenora described Ash as the "head on" type, which admittedly is a very accurate description. I cackled when she then used the Roar & Mean Look combo since she knew that Ash would be head on and would be stuck in with a strategy. Lenora was amazing.~

    I know Ash would have no idea about Lenora's speedy Pokemon, but it bugs me that he didn't use Pikachu, Snivy or Pidove.

    He was being rash and reckless as usual, hence why he lost. Like, he didn't even have a strategy in place when he challenged Lenora; that's how bad he was.

    I assume that Ash wanted to rely on his new Unova Pokemon here to prove their worth, tho of course this backfired cuz Oshawott and Tepig lost any ways. It seemed like a pride thing on Ash's part. Still, Ash's loss taught him a valuable lesson. ^^;

    If that was Satoshi's game plan, then he miscalculated big time. He didn't come off as prideful to me while he was battling Aloe, however. It's not as if he seemed to think that winning would be easy, but rather he didn't seem to be thinking much at all.
