I've never seen something like this; a tiny flaming spider, spinning around deep in some cavern.

It's a creature spawner. It spawns creatures.
Also, you realize Minecraft has it's own screenshot button so you don't have to show your ugly windows right?

You can't do that to anyone who has a picture of Paula Dean riding things.
Place torches around each side to stop it from spawning spiders. Then you can go back later and do what I did: create a trap to get infinite strings. Problem spiders?
I know it does!
...I just don't know what button does it.
Sure we can, watch us.

The spider trap I made ended in failure anyways. I was trying to get string for making wool blocks for my sail that I posted a few pages back. I couldn't leave the game on because the collection space for obtaining the string was too far away from the spawner so the spiders wouldn't spawn. If I went close enough to the spawn so that they could spawn then I wouldn't be able to get over 32 string. Not only that but if I kept active and went back and forth between spawning spiders and collecting string it was still FAR less efficient than just running around punching sheep, which is what I ended up doing. It was probably a bad design for a trap that screwed it all up, a design that I totally stole from someone's video.

I wish I could get it. It's not that I can't buy it. If I could I would but I don't think my computer can handle it. I've been on the free one on their website and it lags like a Snorlax after a full meal.

Find out what graphics card you have, go on Google, type in "[Graphics Card Here] Drivers." More than likely, the website for your card will have updated drivers that your computer couldn't find on its own. Download them. Install them.
Minecraft will now run faster/better.
Doesn't mean he/she'll have the most purty graphics ever.. I'm on my laptop that was built in 2006 and have a better integrated video card that has full updated drivers and it still runs pretty chopy if I you have video settings that actually make it so that you can see.. FOG.
Ether way, I love this game.. I now run it on my brother's desktop, and I'm saving up for a gaming laptop.
So far I have built a house, got a mine up and going without the dang creepers blowing it up. :D
what a man

You're so cool.
I'd been playing Minecraft since late summer last year too. I bought the actual beta program just a few days ago, though. Haven't been able to enjoy it because my computer is a little slow, but I'm probably going to invest in a new one this summer.
No one ever said Minecraft had the most beautiful graphics, either. :V I'm running on a Fujitsu T-Series Drawing Tablet PC, with an oh-so-horrible integrated graphics card from back in early '06. Before finding the driver update, I was lucky if I could play the free version and take one step without it freezing. Now, with the update, there's very little lag (unless I'm running it with a browser going, like I am right now - no regrets), and I can play it on Normal draw distance with little problem. Yeah, I've got to have the fog on the entire time so it doesn't crash my card, but its still very playable. I can't play it on any other comp in the house, either. Then again, they're all from '06 and earlier, but I digress.
I'm currently working on making a sky bridge from one mountain peak to the other, with a large, "floating" castle in between. Its going to be lovely.
>expecting it to be a giant penis
Lachy, I am disappoint.
Needs moar dicks.
So I've died at least 12 times now, trying to build this bridge. I must be doin' it wrong...:V
