Minaj seemingly is suffering from Gaga-itis, the disorder where an artist believes the hype, hypemen/women surrounding them, the propaganda, and believes everything they touch or release is golden, no matter how appalling the quality of said works are. Albeit Gaga's was only a flop in a commercial sense and of a lesser scale.
I see what you tryna do here and it ain't cute. I won't have, I won't hear it. Slay This Way ain't flopping when it's outselling every ***** in the game minus Adele. Nice of you to try though. Keep it clean in here.
Y'all have a blessed day now.

Ugh, Bruno. I knew this was inevitable but it still bothers me.
4. "Ho Hey" - The Lumineers (+1)
I'm calling it right now that this will make it to #1 after Christmas and be one of the biggest alternative smashes of 2013.
9. "Beauty and a Beat" - Justin Bieber f/ Nicki Minaj (+5)
Oh yay, my two favourite artists both get a Top 10, this is awesome! [/sarcasm]

the x factor usa was so ridiculously amazing that everyone was on the same level... seriously; idk who to vote for... no really, i'm lost. i love carly, but i don't think she did the best. i love 5th harmony, but i don't feel like their fanbase is big enough that my vote would matter. and the others are in between this mess. seriously, they were all great and i would be really upset no matter who goes home. i really wish this were the finale week cuz they all deserve to be there, and i know that sounds cliche but, again, i'm just that lost. any suggestions on who to vote for??? (before midnight, of course)

Yeah, I honestly think Demi hasn't done a great job. Cece was great until live shows although her final week was great. And Jennel, who a lot of people thought would make it to the at least the semi-finals came in 10th. I don't think she is coming back next year. LA just announced he won't be coming back next year. Wonder what guy they will bring in to replace him.
Well, the Final 3 of X-Factor has just been revealed, so my comments are in spoiler tags (in case people haven't watched yet and don't want to be spoiled):

1. "Somebody That I Used To Know" - Gotye f/ Kimbra
Knew that STIUTK would end up in the #1 position, but it's still amazing to actually see it! It was one of the best songs of 2012 (if not the best), so I'm glad that it got the recognition that it deserved.
Congrats to fun. on two huge hits! WAY was amazing charting at #3 considering its success was pretty much only in the first half of the year. Meanwhile, Some Nights could have even ranked in the Top 10 if the year were longer or if had been released earlier, but #14 is great considering it's still in the middle of its Top 10 run on the Hot 100!
5. "Lights" - Ellie Goulding
Wow, didn't expect this to make it into the Top 5! Another great song that gets the recognition it deserved. It's just sad that it never made it to #1 on the Hot 100 which is yet another reason why I hate CMM.
11. "Wild Ones" - Flo Rida f/ Sia
16. "Good Feeling" - Flo Rida
17. "Whistle" - Flo Rida
Wow, Flo Rida did a lot better this year than I thought. Interesting how "Whistle" is his lowest placing song considering it was his only #1 this year. I guess the other two had better longevity.
12. "Set Fire To The Rain" - Adele
Nice to see Adele ranking fairly high up, but weird to not see her completely dominating. Well, she's one of only two artists in history to get the #1 album of the year with the same album two years in a row, so I think that's enough 2012 domination.
19. "Drive By" - Train
20. "The Motto" - Drake f/ Lil' Wayne
22. "Everybody Talks" - Neon Trees
23. "Take Care" - Drake f/ Rihanna
25. "I Won't Give Up" - Jason Mraz
Woah, didn't expect any of these to chart so high! None of them had peaks or Top 10 runs that were too good, so I guess it goes to show that great longevity can create hits just as much as high peaks can.
24. "Titanium" - David Guetta f/ Sia
Yay for Titanium making the Top 25! I was afraid that it wouldn't make it considering it didn't spend TOO long in the Top 10, but nice to see it snuck in here!
30. "Too Close" - Alex Clare
Considering this was a hit so late into the year, I didn't even expect it to make the Top 50! Definitely one of the biggest shocks here for me.
Overall, the Year-End Hot 100 chart is... not what I expected. I was quite surprised at some of the songs that managed to make it into the final Top 10, and at a lot of the songs that made it as high as they did. Overall, it's a pretty good chart, and for the most part, good music did well.

1. "Somebody That I Used To Know" - Gotye f/ Kimbra
Saw that coming from a mile away.
5. "Lights" - Ellie Goulding
6. "Glad You Came" - The Wanted
Quite happy to see these songs high up on the list. While I don't care for The Wanted, I think they are much easier to tolerate than 1D. Lights is one of my favourites from this year.
33. "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" - Taylor Swift
Why is this so low? I heard it all the time this year.
46. "Domino" - Jessie J
47. "Gangnam Style" - PSY
Both of these songs are way lower than they should. I'm still not over PSY getting blocked a #1 when One More Night, quite possibly Maroon 5 most annoying song, just stayed there for what seemed like a eternity. Domino, I thought would be a bigger hit to, although in the UK it was a #1 song for about 3 weeks in January, so I probably heard it more seeing as I come from the UK.
Also, I'm surprised to see that Brokenhearted and Let's Go isn't even in the top 50. I heard them a lot this year, although I do live in the uk.
Woah! BillboardClassic made this video already! dat fast Amazing recap for 2012!

Well, the Final 3 of X-Factor has just been revealed, so my comments are in spoiler tags (in case people haven't watched yet and don't want to be spoiled):
Spoiler:- X Factor Top 3:
-Tate Stevens
-Carly Rose Sonenclar
-Fifth Harmony
Firstly, can I say how so amazingly happy I am for Fifth Harmony!! I was so certain that the teenage girl demographic of the show would bring Emblem3 through over them, so I'm extremely happy that they're in the final - all five of them sing amazingly and they've been my favourite act under Carly for a while now. Speaking of which... GOOD RIDDANCE, EMBLEM3. I don't know what took the American public so long to realize that they literally couldn't sing, but better late than never I guess. I was considering not watching the finals if they had gotten through, so I'm glad that I get to watch now.
And X Factor really needs to stop with the overload of suspense and tension, I was getting genuinely worried that Carly would be going home over Emblem3. Carly got some negative comments yesterday by the judges while Emblem3 didn't, so I'm glad that the majority of the voters don't just listen to the judges and actually make their own decisions.
I've been pretty neutral towards Tate this whole competition, so I guess I'm not happy nor sad that he made it through. But out of the four acts, I was the most confident that he'd get through, so no shock there.
Overall, really good Top 3. Should make for an interesting finals next week.
Spoiler:- Lots of X Factor Stuff:
Well for starters I thought that was the most shocking result. I expected 5th harmony going home because they were the underdogs and they received negative criticism. I considered Carly going home because she got negative criticism and everyone brought their A-game on Wednesday. I even considered Tate going home because I personally felt he did the least good (not the worst; everyone did good). With emblem3, I figured, Hey! they have a huge fanbase and they just had the best night on the show. I get some people hate them and, believe me, I get sick of the typical heartthrob overrated guys in the biz (Jonas brothers, justin bieber, etc.), but emblem3 isn't bad at all. They have a nice sound -- like in their audition and their songs this week -- and they look like they'd be fun to hang with.
I'm just also throwing in that I happen to love the suspense; in American Idol, it's very cheesy and overdone, and Ryan Seacrest, after all these years, is starting to get on my nerves, but in the x factor, it's very exciting and it keeps me glued to the t.v., because they have the charimsa of simon cowell, and they have dramatic music instead of American Idol's "du-naa du-naa du-naa du-naa aaaaAAAAAAAAh" ****ty theme song. If the xf didn't have that, then I wouldn't be as interesting. And also, I think the judges generally know what they're talking about. Like, even though Demi didn't do so great as a mentor, she did make some criticisms that truly did make sense.
And why was Brigit Mendler there? Is she a legit singer, or just another autoned Disney/Nickelodeon teen star?
Overall, though, I happy with the finals. I doubtlessly loved everyone in the top 5, but I guess I'm the only one, so I knew for a while I was gonna be satisfied. Carly's my favorite, based on her performances throughout the whole show. Tate is so good, especially for a country singer, a genre that bores me. And fifth harmony stole my heart after their first rendition of impossible. Since tate winning is so obvious, i would prefer if one of the other two acts win, but, for the thousandth time, I'm happy either way.

1 SOMEBODY THAT I USED TO KNOW Gotye Featuring Kimbra Samples 'n' Seconds/Fairfax/Republic
2 CALL ME MAYBE Carly Rae Jepsen 604/SchoolBoy/Interscope
3 WE ARE YOUNG fun. Featuring Janelle Monae Fueled By Ramen/RRP
5 LIGHTS Ellie Goulding Cherrytree/Interscope
10 WHAT MAKES YOU BEAUTIFUL One Direction SYCO/Columbia
.
no surprise these songs made the top 10. loving 1 and 5. don't care for 3 or 10. hate 2 for a passion, for sucking, being awarded for sucking, and making victims out of what would have otherwise been #1 songs
8 WE FOUND LOVE Rihanna Featuring Calvin Harris SRP/Def Jam/IDJMG
at least rihanna made the top 10. that needs to be a given every year
11 WILD ONES Flo Rida Featuring Sia Poe Boy/Atlantic
12 SET FIRE TO THE RAIN Adele XL/Columbia
16 GOOD FEELING Flo Rida Poe Boy/Atlantic
17 WHISTLE Flo Rida Poe Boy/Atlantic
20 THE MOTTO Drake Featuring Lil Wayne Young Money/Cash Money/Republic
why is adele's highest at #12? everything this woman does is literally golden. "skyfall", a song she recorded in 10 minutes, is being nominated for Best Original Song.
Flo Rida should not have been that high up, espeically with the vulgar connotations of #17, yuck!
I expected "the motto" to be higher. this is the song that started "y.o.l.o." i'm starting to see that cultural references are not considered.
24 TITANIUM David Guetta Featuring Sia What A Music/Astralwerks/Capitol
okay, this song was EVERYWHERE, and should've been higher. it was on the radio a lot, and it's used practically every week by the x factor, and it's used by the z100 commercials, and, believe it or not, even more examples i can't remember. and i believe it also had a nice longetivity in the top 10. crime against david guetta
39 GIVE YOUR HEART A BREAK Demi Lovato Hollywood
good job, demi! i feel like a lot of people disregard her, and now can't stand her due to the xf, so it makes me happy to see her success validated
43 SOMEONE LIKE YOU Adele XL/Columbia
47 GANGNAM STYLE PSY SchoolBoy/Republic
hey, what are you guys doing down here? i guess SLY was a winter of '11-12 hit, so that kinda makes sense, but psy was truly screwed over. forget not getting #1; THIS is the crazy result.
64 RUMOUR HAS IT Adele XL/Columbia
okay, this was definitely a hit THIS summer. wtf happened here???
83 LOVE YOU LIKE A LOVE SONG Selena Gomez & The Scene Hollywood
how did this one manage to squeeze into this list? it's not horrible, but it's hard to take her seriously. unlike demi, selena hasn't really shed her disney image yet
EDIT: so i was scrolling through the home page and i found something...

I'm quite surprised at some of the placements of the songs (like Glad You Came and We Found Love) I honestly thought Call Me Maybe would be number one lol
Finally did some catching up on some music...finally listened to Unapologetic.....Dear lord.....I don't know what to say. Not Rihanna's best album IMO. also listened to Little Mix's album and quite liked it. Brits have not been letting me down lately.
Ke$ha's hit single "Die Young" is being pulled off from radio stations across the country after Newton school massacre various media reports:
After disapointing album sales, Ke$ha's hit song "Die Young" was the singer's saving grace -- until now.
TMZ reports that radio stations across the country have pulled the song from rotation following the shooting in Newtown, Conn., which claimed the lives of 26 people, including 20 children.
According to Mediabase, a company that tracks radio airplay, on the day of the shooting, "Die Young" came in at No. 3 on the radio playlist charts, reaching 167 million listeners, but by Monday, the song had dropped by 19 million listeners.
Despite the huge drop in listeners, Billboard still lists "Die Young" as continuing to hold the No. 3 spot on the radio charts, but TMZ claims the massive drop is a sign that radio stations have begun to pull the song from rotation, noting that the last time a song plummeted this quickly is when the Dixie Chicks were banned from country radio after they insulted President Bush in 2003.
Calls made by The Huffington Post to Z100 and 102.7 KISS-FM, New York and Los Angeles' hit music stations, for comment have not yet been returned.
wow, that is just the worst. it's not even her fault; it's just a really bad coincidence. sigh, first the dark knight, and now kesha -- there always seems to be some pop culture icon taking a hit

Anyways, I heard about the whole "Die Young" thing a couple of days ago. Like flamebeam said, it's just a really bad coincidence for Ke$ha... but you can't blame the radio stations. Even though Ke$ha's 'die young' is just about partying and not about actually dying, I can still understand why people don't want to hear a song where the concept of dying young is being taken so excitedly and upbeat.
Anyways, a DJ known as DJ Earworm has a tradition of mashing up the biggest hits of each year (as I'm sure almost all of you here know). Anyways, 2012's just came out:
I think it's pretty good, especially considering making this one must have been challenging. So many of the big hits this year sounded so different from each other, so making one song with all of them must have been difficult. Sometimes, the really drastic pitch changes that he had to do for some of the songs was a bit annoying, but he really had no choice. Other than that, it's catchy and sounds really cool, which makes it a success.
EDIT: Ok, so now that I listen to it now, I realize it's not as good as I first thought. Still not bad, but not nearly as good as any of his previous ones.

AND LIFE ITSELF.
This is why I hate music censorship. It's almost never logical. Yes the title may be coincidental, but it has nothing to do with shooting or actually dying young. She better starting promoting C'Mon. Meanwhile, I hope she makes a video for Dirty Love.
USOP12 was good....but 2009 still remains my favorite.
