I don't know much about hacks, but I'm pretty sure the OT shouldn't be English if it is a Japanese Ditto. If it was hacked on an English game, I don't think you can MM with it (if that is what you were planning to do.)

But I'm not an expert, that's just what I think. Do an iv check.

Black and Whites' GTS has hack detection, sort of.

If you hacked a pokemon on Black and White, then you won't be able to put it on GTS.

If you hacked a pokemon on other games (D,P,Pt,Hg,Ss), and transfer it to B&W, then it will be able to be put onto GTS.

noppe i got a hack shaymin in Plt but didnt know so i went to place it into the BW GTS and it kept saying not posible

Its possible to use english letters in the japanese version, but the font will be different.

The best way to check and see if the Ditto is truely japanese is to check your Pokedex. You should be able to check the japanese dex of Ditto if you have the japanese one.
