That's what I'm hoping for. After every arc some new is added, they lost Laxus and Mystogun but they left still alive. And Laxus still has a chance of returning. Also the people they add out weigh the people they "lost", so they either need to not add people or start killing some non-important or 1 main character off.
Can Wendy really bring the dead back to life? Gah! That means no real deaths occur!
Oh Wizel, White Warrior, Wielder of the Ancient Sword, Grant Me Your Power! Verto!
Then theres hope for death yet!

Okay, enough death theories. How about some joining theories?
As Hades/Purehito and the members of the Seven Kin are being arrested, Hades appeals to Makarov to let Meredy join Fairy Tail. Hades goes on to explain that Meredy is his favorite Seven Kin member because her power perfectly embodies what Fairy Tail is all about, and says that while it's too late for everyone else, Meredy has a chance to live her life. Hearing this, Makarov decides that while Purehito was the master of a dark guild, he was never truly evil, and agrees to take Meredy in. Lahar protests, saying that Meredy is just as guilty as the rest of Grimoire Heart, to which Makarov responds by saying that the Magic Council is responsible for governing and protecting the magical community in a fair and impartial manner, and that sending a spy to try and dig up an excuse to disband Fairy Tail violates that trust. He then issues an ultimatum: Either Meredy is pardoned and allowed to join a legal guild, i.e. Fairy Tail, or he reports this incident to the government, which, if Makarov has his way, would result in the second disbandment of a Magic Council in over a year, with Doranbolt as his key witness. Not wanting to have the Council embarrassed again, Lahar allows Meredy the option of joining Fairy Tail or being arrested along with the rest of her guild. Meredy looks to Ultear for a hint at what to do, but she just smiles kindly at Meredy, saying Meredy is a pure soul who shouldn't be subjected to the same fate as her, and she deserves a future with Fairy Tail. Meredy cries and hugs Ultear before she's taken away, and Meredy decides she wants to join Fairy Tail.
EDIT: Chapter's out. Gildarts, Fried, and Bixlow being all crazy badass powerful (love Bixlow's new armor, BTW), but what really irks me is the shot of the boy dressed like Natsu. I'm thinking it's a shot of Zeref when he was young. I dunno, maybe there's some time travel involved, maybe Zeref was actually from the present, or even a future time, and somehow he travels back to like, 400 years ago and somehow becomes the worst dark mage the world has ever known. Maybe that's why Natsu doesn't recognize him. Maybe he went by another name in the current time, and only took the name Zeref after turning evil.

Please stop complaining about Pikachu losing to "weak" Pokemon at the start of each new region. Its power is drained at the start of each new region, and anyway, it's equally bad storytelling for Pikachu to plow through all of its opponents.
I thought it was Zeref too.
Freid and Bixlow are soooooooooo cool. They just jumped up on my fav list. I remember the Battle Festival Arc when they made their debuts. They were such pricks and now they're cool.
And @Osiris, it like your actually a writer for Fairy Tail.

I think the boy is Zeref also.
I can't wait to see Gildartz's battle in animated form.

Banner & Userbar done by me =D
...I'm sorry, but I have no idea what that means. Or are you posting just for the sake of posting?
My two theories have started to merge, leading me to believe that Zeref is indeed Romeo, who traveled back to ancient times and grew up there as the dark mage that would ultimately alter history. As they say in Bob and George, I hate time travel.

I didn't get what Acer said either so I stayed quiet.
You theories make more and more sense. I don't like thinking about time travel, there are usually brain mushing paradoxes.

Unfortunately, Bob and George pretty much defined my mode of thinking throughout high school, and that includes time travel.
You really think my theories make sense? I mean, I like the ones about Zeref and Romeo, but mushing them together in a time-travel sandwich? Hoo boy, that can't end well.

They're more thought out and descriptive than mines.

I'm not creative enough to mash my theories together. I just make one up, then another one then another one. Kinda of like parallel worlds, so if one fails I still have others to edit.

Hiro Mashima did that in Rave Master. But the time-travel user is a powerful mage and understand the whole paradox thing. I doubt the time travel theory.
Everyone seems to think Zeref is the boy. Wait, that makes the greatest dark wizard is a Fairy Tail guild member?!

He is meant to be Mr. Fanservice. So yeah, he's a favourite of most, I think.
I know, thinking is not truth. I take that thought and deduce the next.
Mavis is the boy, that's what I think, but nothing I can find about him.
That boy has strong resemblance with Zeref. His dad perhaps? (Wait, that makes....)
