Acnologia became a dragon by bathing in too much dragon blood.

Nope, it's all Zeref's fault. I get that Zeref is supposed to be the main villain, but blaming stuff like this on him is way too forced. He seems more neutral than anything else.

I did thing Acnologia was King of Dragons, but him being a former human is a nice twist. The question is, what does Zeref have to do with it? Clearly he was taught magic by a dragon and was a dragon slayer (unless he learned it from a "Demon" or had latent Godlike abilities), but since he's not Acnologia's Slayer, what is her? The former king's slayer? Maybe Zeref was in fact a former dragon, thus giving him magic abilities and then species swapped with Acnologia, letting him be a dragon in exchange for Acnologia's humanity.
It's still very hard to judge these things, because despite all the good points about Fairy Tail, there is very little information on the antagonists.

Also, thanks for trolling us for 2 weeks Mashima. I guess the 300th chapter was going to be a big deal, but nothing huge happened that made it worth it. If anything, this should have been the 300th chaper.

Well, just to let you guys know. The anime by next week will finally be introducing Sting and Rouge. A think another filler arc should have been thrown in for a bit. Not one as along as this Oracion Seis Returns arc, but something about half that.

They revealed Cobra's name. And he saw Cubelios/The Snake Kinana in human form. It was a really touching moment. I felt sorry for him a bit.

Yeah, you're right but a Fairy Tail thread is always being made in the anime section only for it to die days later because everyone's cruising in manga version of the thread.
Besides I only talk about the anime in this thread when it hits a significant moment. (Natsu turning SSJ2/Lightning Flame Dragon, Newest Arc coming, etc)

Only annoying thing this arc is Lucy, freakin plot device. Now we know for sure that Team Fairy Tail is going to win the tournament. I'd love it if she was just left in prison, or just killed some thing. We have others for fan service that are more useful than her, at first I was ok with it now just getting annoying.

I just hope Gajeel gets some to shine while its still going, show us what hes been doing training this entire time.

I'm more curious about the whole time travel Natsu/Gajeel age thing and connected to that. Since we already know whos going to win the tournament already wish we'd move onto that plot instead but guess will wait and see.

Time travel? That makes things interesting now since time travel always gets confusing and has a cool story. ( As long as it is done right.)
I also like the fact that the guys who I thought were evil are actually good.

Lucy got kidnapped
Time travel
How on earth does that merit 1 and a half months of chapters.
Also this isn't even a ****ing two front war. It's sending 2 of your 3 S-Class members to the competition and 1 S class along with a non offensive fighter and one mage drained of all their magic to take on the kingdom head on. That makes no ****ing sense. A two front war requires you to be attacking the enemy and pinning them between your forces, except the competition has basically no relevance to the kingdom at all. It makes no sense that the kingdom would release Lucy if they won because then they wouldn't kidnap her in the first place. And now you sent 2 useless fighters with Mirajane to take them head on. Can someone explain in any way how this is a 2 front war.

Also can Mashima pick a damn villain and stick with it? I've been butthurt a lot, but really, get your series together. In this arc alone we have the villain at Raven Tail to Sabertooth to Acnologia to Zeref (within the same chapter) to the kingdom. Is everyone against Fairy Tail? Has any character ever heard "the enemy of my enemy is my friend"? Find the main villain, give them an evil plot, and stop switching the main conflict around. Zeref has literally done nothing bad (he actually killed the strongest villain in the series to date so he's more of a hero than any other character), Acnologia is a dick, Arcadios is an ******* turned hero/ally turned back into an *******, Raven Tail got owned by Laxus and completely eliminated as a threat, and Sabertooth is just ****ing around with no real evil purpose.

It's Mashima's way of making Fairy Tail's 'plan', if I should even call it that, sound brilliant and awesome. In reality, it's just an overhyped ******** of a plan that a 5 year old on crack could come up with.

Raven tail, they are intended to be Arc villain later. Sabertooth was never shown to be a villainous guild, the guild master is an *** hole but they where never shown to be bad. Zeref has the primary villain from the beginning, once Natsu and Lucy go back in time we'll see why Zeref is how he was told to be throughout history.

I wish we didn't have to get into another rescue Lucy arc, can't that girl do any thing else besides getting caught? Oh wells, at least this way every one gets action I guess.
