Opening Thoughts:

[Changes in Bold]

Okay, so this is my first 'Rate My Team' so far. Hence if I do make a few mistakes in format, or other areas, forgive me. At a glance you may notice that Blaziken appears in this team. Blaziken has recently been banned or designated "Uber" by the folks at smogon. However because this team is based around, and tested on, Pokemon Online Blaziken is not classified as uber. Now while I have played competitive pokemon online for some time now, I still have a lot of work ahead of me in constructing teams and battling. So I would appreciate any feedback and input anyone may have. So without further adieu - I bring to you.

D12 - Meet The Team:

"Swift" - Accelgor
Move 1: Spikes
Move 2: U-turn
Move 3: Bug Buzz
Move 4: Yawn
Nature: Hasty
Item: Focus Sash
Ability: Sticky Hold
EV's: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

Explanation:

Okay, so I love this guy as a lead. Nine times out of ten I'll get spikes up. The main idea here is to yawn on my first turn, forcing the opponent to switch their lead or risking having it sleep. By doing this I usually get to set up two layers of spikes, one on the switch and one as the opponent depletes Accelgor's HP down to 1. Sometimes I may switch out and use him as fodder or just leave him in to set up more spikes or just get damage on whatever the opponent switches in. If I suspect the opponent carries a lum I can negate the yawn and immediately go for spikes. Usually as a suicide lead, Accelgor gets spikes down.

"Kon" - Blaziken
Move 1: Swords Dance
Move 2: Protect
Move 3: Flare Blitz
Move 4: Stone Edge
Item: Life Orb
Ability: Speed Boost
Nature: Adamant
EV's: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe

Explanation:

The new tend setter in Gen V. The main idea for Blaziken is to switch onto something I know will want to run (Protect is there for something I may not easily be able to switch into) then proceed to swords dance up and try to sweep. Not really a lot to say here, considering a fighting move or baton pass but I'm not really sure.

"Proof" - Gengar
Move 1: Shadow Ball
Move 2: Clear Smog
Move 3: Focus Blast
Move 4: Hidden Power Ice
item: Choice Specs/Life Orb
EV's: 4 Def/252 SpA/ 252 Spe
Nature: Timid

Explanation:

Okay at first glance, this looks like a pretty standard specs/timid Gengar. However this Gengar carries the new Gen V move 'Clear Smog'. Those unfamiliar with this move should note that is just 'Haze' but with damage. I love this new addition to Gengar's move pool, it allows him to negate any set up that I may have let slide in. Because of this sort of crippling effect I'm considering changing Gengar to scarf & modest/timid to ensure that he'll go first to negate any stat changes before he gets attacked. The rest of Gengar is business as usual.

"Shady" - Swampert
Move 1: Stealth Rock
Move 2: Earthquake
Move 3: Ice Beam
Move 4: Roar
Item: Leftovers
Nature: Relaxed
EV's: 240 HP / 216 Def / 52 SpD

Explanation:

I love Swampert, really. He eats nearly every Blaziken counter for breakfast. Mostly business as usual on Swampert, although I don't really see a lot of them carrying Ice Beam (Maybe they do, I'm not sure) so that's basically there for dragons that think they can set up on him. Ice Beam usually takes a Gliscor by surprise as well. Usually able to set up a Stealth Rock on Heatrans (Heatran comes in on Blaziken, Swampert comes in on Heatran, Rocks go up). Roar is for anything I'm scared of, anything bulky that wants to calm mind etc etc.

"Bizzare" - Cresselia
Move 1: Calm Mind
Move 2: Moonlight
Move 3: Psychic/Shadow Ball
Move 4: Psycho Shift
Item: Flame Orb
Nature: Calm
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 SpA

Explanation:

I really rather odd set up for Cress here. Which is nice because it's usually unexpected. Cress' bulk usually alows it to Moonlight as it switches in to activate Flame Orb regardless of attack, or Calm Mind as the opponent switches. Psycho Shift is great for crippling the opponent so I can proceed to switch and set up. A few options present after this, I can either switch and set up. I could double Psycho Shift if I anticipate a switch. Or I could Calm Mind/Moonlight if the opponent is severely crippled (or will switch).

"Kuniva" - Jirachi
Move 1: Iron Head
Move 2: Thunder Wave
Move 3: Wish
Move 4: Protect
Nature: Careful
Item: Leftovers
EV's: 252 HP / 224 SpD / 32 Spe

Explanation:

Pretty standard Jirachi here, nothing quirky. Jirachi is here to speed and hax cripple around the show with T-Wave. Provide support Wish (Protect for healing Jirachi itself). Iron head for the flinch stab move, combined with t-wave hax is always nice. Business as usual for the fairy.

In Closing:

You may have noticed the theme of D12 throughout the RMT, what with nicknames and such. That's purely for aesthetic appeal and my own personal appreciation. Plus I like giving each team a name. But that's not related to pokemon at all XD As I said in my opening stated, I'm looking for any and all criticism and input and I appreciate any help you may be able to provide. I know some of the sets may be a little off the wall, but I have tested this team several times and the win/loss ration seems to be pretty 50/50.

Balls. This is an amazing Team. My only beef would be that although Clear Smog is AMAZING on Gengar, that you're choice-locking yourself into that move, which would give Steels a good chance to set up on you. Other than that it looks great. I personally would not want to go toe to toe with that Cresselia.

Think you could take a look at my Team? http://www.serebiiforums.com/showthread.php?t=501973

Thought I'd give this thread a bump, since I'm still seeking input on this team still.
I'd appreciate ANY and all criticism, come on guys..it's not that hard to leave a tip.
