leads still work. without stealth rock, dragonite takes in ice beam from life orb nidoking and survives.
taunt is still great for stopping set up.
on these notes, go fire monkey go...

Unusual Leads thrive more in this metagame as they are completely unexpected to actually be leads.

Spoiler:- Please take a look at this:
I still use an entry hazard lead. You should just adept to the new feature of team preview and create your lead in such a way it is still capable of doing it's job, which isn't too hard.
However I dislike the team preview, it can be very useful in prediction.
Get some knowledge please. Special is Nidokings only viable attack option, since his SpAtt is about the same as it's Att and it's special movepool is far greater.
Nidoking is a special attacker 99% of the times.

I usually carry a lead (mainly for sr) since there's so much ninetails running around (sun)
For my OU team my lead is crustle. It's amazing. It's stayed in for-ever. I never see it, and I just look at it's movepool and stats and I go... ka-boom.
Hello Serebii Forums!
~TotodileIsBeast
My fav. leads in OU T-tar, gliscor, Swampert (still pretty good as a lead) or metagross. Sometimes Heatran.
Keeping the classics alive
Ambipom, anyone? Fast Baton Passer, more durable than Ninjask, and Technician. Half of the time, it's my lead.
this is a sig
Leads, really, are not meant to lead all of the time, just whenever they can. I've heard of people changing leads when they see the opponent's team, for example leading with a Conkeldurr when u expect TTar.
What're you lookin' at soldier? DROP AND GIVE ME 645!!!
DO THEM RIGHT OR FACE THE WRATH OF MA' SAND FORCE!!!

People still obviously use Pokemon that set up, but I don't really think anyone uses specific 'leads' anymore. You normally want to try predicting what your opponent is sending out so that you can send out something which can force your opponent to switch out. ^^
Dracaena - Giovanni Rank

OSL GYM LEADER # 8 - FLYING
On my Sandstorm team, I usually run Tyranitar or Hippowdon. Mixed Tyranitar helps take down threats and is really bulky, as well as setting up sandstorm. Otherwose I run Hippowdon who starts sandstorm, throws up rocks (just realized how weird that sounds), and starts Toxic stalling.
I'm such a noob...
For my OU, I used SR and Spikers Ferrothorn.. The entry hazard plus Leech Seed is beast
Booyah
Leads like Tornadus still make a good first impression!
Claimed this Little guy!
Sashed Azelf with taunt is pretty much amazing. So is scarfted rotom-w with trick.

5th Gen Scrim FC: 3138-9352-7816
3DS FC: 4382-2222-7999
Ranked 17th on GB Pokemon B/W Ladder
I love using Air Balloon Heatran with SR, and scarf Rotom - W to scout.

How do you make a team if you don't use a lead?
In order to understand my train of thoughts,
you'll have to put yourself in my position. You can't expect me to think like you because my life ain't like yours; You know what I'm sayin?

Paper Trail.
Dedicated leads are dead. When you build a team, you just build a solid team and then lead with whatever seems like it would give you the best advantage at the beginning of the match.
Also, stop bumping old threads.
