I have always been lucky. My last luck time was when I started a Nuzlocke challenge in HG. My Cyndaquil was about to die, but my opponents used Growl/Tail Whip.

P.S:Elderly, there 's no Tyranitar in the wild in any main pokémon game.

Talking about catching: Catching the Sinnoh legendary trio with Pokéballs in Platinum. By far, Giratina was the easier.

I already got a Pokérus Cyndaquil in HG! And, I only got one shiny so far, but I got pokérus 2 times!

I found a shiny cacnea in Ruby. That is the only shiny i ever caught, my sis found a shiny weedle in her FR and i was like "wtf?" but yeah she gave it to me so maybe my luckiest moment is that my sister loves me.

2.In Platinum, I was fighting this tough guy. He KO'd 5 of my Pokémon then it was a one-on-one. He had red HP and attacked my last Pokémon with a super-effective attack. I thought I was gonna die but I had 1 HP left. I attacked him and it was a critical hit. I won

Surviving brutal amounts of hax in the different battle facilities, though it has not happened very often.
Finding all of my shinies, even if I am not a shiny hunter.
Getting roaming (or old and forgotten) legendaries with good natures and sometimes IVs without trying.
Catching various Pokemon (including legendaries) on the first turn on the battle or one of the first turns without damaging them or not damaging them enough.

Catching Zekrom with full health in a quick ball (I know that's pretty common, but I still consider myself lucky)
Pwning Cynthia's entire team with a lv. 54 Lilligant. (She threw out Spiritomb and I subbed, it kept double teaming while I seeded it and maxed out quiver dances, I hit it luckily after it did several double teams then 1hko/2hko the rest of her team)

Back in Yellow Version, I had no Master Ball to catch Mewtwo, and my team were pitifully underlevelled. The damn thing psychic'd my team one by one, while breaking out of the balls, until only my level 30 something Pikachu and 1 ultra ball remained.

I sent out the Pikachu, knowing I only had 1 shot left. I chucked my very last ultra ball.

Mewtwo was captured.

I was rather pleased, but that Pikachu was sweating bullets...

I ran into a shiny Hoothoot on my Gold Version at 8:39 just outside of New Bark Town. I killed it though I also found a Shiny Gastrodon in Pokemon Diamond, which I managed to catch.

In Pokemon Black, I was battling the elite 4 for the 2nd time and was up to the Champion, I led with my Dodrio against his Accelgor which was a good match except dodrio only had 30hp left. He used Focus Punch, missed, I used Fly and OHKOd it, which allowed me to send out my Conkeldurr and Bulk Up to +6 when he sent out Vanilluxe. I then continued to sweep his team.

Oh, i also only had 2 revives left and a couple of moomoo milks left, highest level was 65
