Default Favorite stop motion animated films?

This is a somehwat underrated medium. Anyway, my favorites are, in no particular order:

    The Nightmare Before Christmas
The majority of Rankin/Bass' stop motion works
    The Corpse Bride
Nutcracker Fantasy (a bizarre stop motion film from Sanrio)
    Fantastic Mr. Fox
    Coraline
    ParaNorman
    SailorPika has returned.

I like Nightmare Before Christmas, but The Adventures of Mark Twain trumps it despite how ugly the characters tend to look. And it may or may not be because of this. They don't make kids' movies like this anymore.

I haven't seen the DVD for a while. It should still be on the shelf somewhere if we didn't sell it with other movies we hadn't watched in a long time.

Coraline was an amazing book and the film really did it justice, so I'm gonna go with that. The Nightmare Before Christmas and Chicken Run are also pretty great.

You can find Nutcracker Fantasy on YouTube (not very good picture quality, but at least it's available).

Need to check out Boxtrolls too.

For me, the most memorable are James and the Giant Peach, and Corpse Bride. Those are still some of my favorite movies, and it's sad that stop motion isn't all that common(?) as it used to be, since it has such a unique charm imo. Boxtrolls was really sweet though, and I hope it will inspire a few more movies like it in the future.

Fantastic Mr. Fox is the cussing best.
