Tebow went 6-7 for 91 yards
Orton with 2-7 with 37 yards
Just preseason, but the way the announcers were blasting Tebow, you would think that he was the worst QB to set foot in the NFL. The over the top hate for this kid is kind of pathetic

Well, I'm back from the Eagles game last night! Some moments that the Eagles had were great, and others made me want to facepalm. But it's the preseason, so I really don't give a damn. Also, I found it funny that the Patriots won 42-17 without playing Brady, Ochocinco, or Haynesworth. (or was it Wilfork?)

I won't be surprised if A-Rod doesn't see any action.

Ravens trade for WR Lee Evans from the Bills. Flacco finally has a legitimate downfield threat. Thoughts?

It's just the first taste of football after the offseason, I guess, especially given the lockout stuff.
As for A&M, I'm not going to put stock in anything until the deal is done. I live in the midwest, and everyone talked like the Big 12 was imploding last year (with Texas and OK going to the PAC 10), but nothing like that ended up happening. So I'll just wait and see.
He was performing against the other teams' backups for the most part I assume, so that would probably raise his stats a little. Also, I've come to take absolutely no stock in the preseason. The Colts have been to the playoffs like 10 years in a row or something, but they always suck in the preseason. Whenever Orton sucks during the season, Tebow will get his shot and we'll see what he really can do.
A-Rod? Who do you mean?

By A-Rod, he means Aaron Rodgers. And also, my source for Lee Evans to the Ravens is FoxSports.com

Evans as a Raven would be good. There's always something about the dirty birds I liked.

We're losing to the Redskins. PLEASE don't be an omen.
Know its just preseason, still nice to see a 25-0 shutout for the Bucs

I'm sure Kansas City is dissapointed to not score at all in that game, even if it's preseason.
A report from FoxSports.com says that next there's a good chance that Texas A&M, Missouri, Florida State, and Clemson are all going to join the SEC next year. Personally, I don't like the idea of any schools SEC-eding. Florida State could compete, but A&M, Mizzou, and Clemson will probably get their asses handed to them every year.

Spoiler:- Creamery Command Stuffs:
(Warning! Brainless SEC fan!) Quite frankly I think this blankwillbeintheSECnextyear talk is bull. They risk diluting the quality of their teams (unless we can trade Vandy and Auburn out). SC and Arkansas were stretching it geographically when they were added; Missouri and A&M would be quite a WTF (and Missouri is definitely not part of the cultural South).
Overall we can blame the Big1210 for starting the superconference concept.
Personally I think football conferences should be capped at 12. Any more and scheduling would get crazy. Inter-conference matches would become a thing of the past.

A&M WILL be in the SEC. It's just a matter of time.
I personally think the conference cap should be at 16. This give a even number of 8 per conference, allowing for a North/South or East/West sub-division.
The Big 12 is going to implode after this year. There's talk that Texas will likely join the PAC-10, with Oklahoma following, and the remains parting off else where. I personally think also the NCAA can take charge and reorder everything, add in a playoff system, and throw away bowl games. But nobody wants to do anything reasonable.
16 teams/ 8-team divisions....that's 7 division games, leaving 5 for the other division and your non-conference matchups. Currently it's usually 3 games in the other division; in the SEC you have a "permanent rival" and the other two rotate (not sure about the Big 10/ Pac 12). That really segregates each division into a mini-conference, and the only way to significantly challenge the other side would be the conference championship. And that's only two non-conference games. You would have to increase the number of games or the whole concept of interleague play would die. And that would really hurt non-BCS conference teams/Boise St/ Notre Dame & the other independents/Big East. Maybe we can at least stop playing I-AA schools (yes I still call them that).
