Didn't they need a last-second INT to beat unranked 1-1 Cincinnati in week 4 of 2002?

e: Not saying we're actually going to come close to the title game, because I have OSU pegged for 9 or 10 wins...

Penn State once again sucks. -_- Hopefully Notre Dame can do better tonight. But of course the biggest game to come this opening week of football (Labor Day weekend isn't the real opening week) is My Steelers going up against the Ravens.

Penn State doesn't suck. Alabama is just a quality team. With Trent Richardson running the ball and their great defense, they have a great shot at winning the national championship. Also, I hope that somehow both Notre Dame and Michigan can both lose, lol. The only time that I've ever liked either of them was when Chad Henne used to be the starting quarterback for Michigan. And that was ONLY because he was my neighbor as a little kid.

    Dear God Texas.

    Can you not cover anybody?
Atleast they are trying different QBs instead of Gilbert... Gilbert can't seem to pull it off.

Lol, I don't even know how Texas got into the AP Top 25... ever since they lost Colt McCoy they haven't been the same. Plus, now they have Mack Brown gone... I forsee a very bad season for Texas unless they get their act together on both sides of the ball.

    Um....
Mack Brown isn't gone. He's still there.
Texas has 3 really good running backs that they are not using. They need to become a more balanced team.
Gilbert obviously isn't the answer;I envision true freshman David Ash to come in a make a scene, if not Chase McCoy.

Sorry. I meant Will Muschamp. He's the one that went to Florida.

Whooo UF with their first Shut out since 2006. Against UAB 39-0.

1st string was out by the middle of the 3rd. Bring it Tennessee!

I now have a strong hatred for two certain states. Go kick some a*s tomorrow Steelers!

P.S: I don't manage how I pull off liking both Penn State and Notre Dame (while being agnostic.)

Wow. I thought Baylor-TCU was gonna be game of the year. Little did I know that Michigan and Notre Dame were gonna score a combined 3 touchdowns in the final 1:21 to give Michigan the 4 point win. Crazy comeback by Michigan. Excitement level=10.

Yup already topped the TCU game.

btw, the defense for both teams left the field 2 minutes early

    Couldn't agree with you more.

Also, if this is what we get out of unranked teams, what should we expect for Oklahoma-FSU?

Florida's new coach is a very straightforward and demanding guy, he'll always be trying to make the team better.

I'm liking this Will Muschamp guy.

Texas got their sh*t together and pulled out a win.
I see a lot of bright spots in this years freshmen class.

@sceptile123 that's what muschamp brought to the table at Texas.
He runs a pas heavy offense I'll tell you that much.

he isn't running the offense, Weis is. and they have ran they heck out of the ball so far.

As for the OU/FSU game, FSU in my bias opinion is overrated. OU is going to give them a harsh does of reality

I don't know... Florida State is going to take that game very seriously, I can see it being very close.

I don't know about that. FSU has a really strong defense, which Oklahoma isn't used to facing in the Big 12. I think that the defense could give Landry Jones fits and lead to a potential upset. But I'd still put my money on Oklahoma, though I'm not super confident in them.

Basically the entire OU team that obliterated FSU is back this year and a year more experienced. FSU is not 30 points better this year.

If FSU wins this game, Their only obstacle between a national championship appearance looks to be Va Tech and Florida. Gonna be sickening for me if FSU gets to the championship game by cruising through that weak conference

I agree with you about that conference being weak. Its great when you see a team thinking they are so bada because they won a championship then having nothing to say when you ask who they beat to get there

So much for the dream team.

And Atlanta can't seem to get it together

So far the NFC's elite seem to be Green-bay, New Orleans, and Chicago.

And Houston has officially become AFC south favorites, Buffalo is showing us that Kansas city's season last year was indeed a fluke. Baltimore is getting ready to climb the hump and beat Pittsburgh (oh wait they always look like that before they lose). But other than Pittsburgh and Baltimore none of the "Usual suspects" have played (San Diego, New England, and New York)

Im soo glad that football is back.

The Colts are being destroyed. I guess Peyton Manning is a lot more important than I thought.
