I left the Snowpoint Gym and headed to Lake Acuity, where I talked to my rival and Jupiter. After that, I flew to Veilstone to take on Team Galactic at their headquarters. I had to cream a whole bunch of grunts there before I was able to fight Cyrus. He wasn't too hard to beat, but his Golbat was really annoying. Once I defeated him, I was able to go to the room where Mesprit, Azelf, and Uxie were. Before saving them, I had to fight Saturn, who was easier than Cyrus.

After doing all that, I decided to go look for a Moonstone to evolve Clefairy. I first looked for one in the Underground but found nothing. I then tried stealing one off wild Clefairy, but again, I didn't find one. Eventually, I got so tired of searching that I just traded one over from Pearl (I don't care if that's "cheating").

Now that I finally have a Clefable, I'm ready to take on Team Galactic at Mt. Coronet.

I've decided to do a Rock Monotype Challenge in Heart Gold. I have 2 Badges so far and I am currently in Ilex Forest.

I did use an Onix in the Violet City Gym but it was only temporary. I replaced it for Geodude.
I also got my Slugma from an Egg that I got from Primo in Violet City.

For Pokemon that Evolve by Trading (like Graveler), I will be raising it to Level 35 before I evolve it.

DAMN YOU MORTY! I HATE YOU AND YOUR GENGAR SO MUCH! Geez how many times did I have to reset? 20? Ugh...I finally did beat him. I could have done a bit more training but it wouldn't have made much difference anyways. Ah well, at least he's beaten. I'm in the Glitter Lighthouse right now.

I did some level grinding, getting my whole team to level 45. Then, I headed to Mt. Coronet. The cave portion of the mountain was very easy to navigate, so I managed to reach the snowy part fairly quickly. Eventually, I reached the Spear Pillar, where I teamed up with my rival to take down Mars and Jupiter. The double battle wasn't hard, but it did take quite a while because my rival was pretty much dead weight throughout the whole thing. -_-

After that, I had to fight Cyrus. Most of his Pokemon were quite easy to take down, but his Weavile was challenging. Weavile was faster than all of my Pokemon, and its attacks were very powerful. Fortunately, Lopunny managed to defeat it.

When that battle ended, I had to fight Dialga. At first, I weakened it and threw some Ultra Balls at it in order to catch it. However, it kept breaking out, and Dialga's attacks were OHKO or 2HKOing most of my team. So, I ended up running from the battle. I don't really care that I didn't catch it, since I already have several Dialgas.

So now, I'm off to Sunyshore.

Ya I am new to this website and started a Pearl mono normal challenge today.

This is a short Update

Started a new game and named myself Aryan and the rival Barry(From the anime). Got to the Lake and choosed the starter Piplup. So that, my Rival has turtwig an my starly has advantage over it. Got the running shoes and saved outside the house.

I continued my adventure and went to Sandgem town where I got the pokedex. It's quiet nice that in this game, you can buy pokeballs very early. So i bought some and captured a bidoof and a Starly and started training them.

Starly was easy to train after learning quick attack but bidoof was very hard to train. I grinded them to lvl 10. I went to home and got the parcel and journal. I went to jubilife city battling the trainers. I defeated the trainers using bidoof in trainers school and gave the parcel to barry. I then trained bidoof to 11

Alright I'll update what I've done since last time. I've beaten Team Rocket at the Radio Tower and I'm now preparing to go face quite possibly the hardest Gym Leader for this Rock Monotype Challenge: Clair, the Dragon Gym Leader of Blackthorn City! Misty might be hard but I'll probably have something to counter her Water Types.

So I decided on starting a Platinum Grass Monotype Challenge.

Basic Rules:
- Team of 5 with one HM Slave (doesn't have to be Grass type)

So my journey so far has been to get the Turtwig from Prof. Rowan, battling Barry a few times and then making my way to Oreburgh after catching a Budew.

I am planning on trading my Squirtle, Mudkip, and a Wingull I bred from Second copy of Soul Silver(with good egg and move tutor moves).

Well I beat Clair and then faced the Elite Four and the Champion and won. I am now training and organizing my brand new team with the new options that are now available.

I obviously need work with my last 3 Pokemon. Lileep is Female so I am going to breed Recover on it because I'm going to use it for stall. Plus I want to use some Pokemon that I've never used or not used much before. Lunatone, Omastar and Cradily are 3 that I haven't used and I haven't used Aerodactyl that much.
My new team is looking a lot better than last time since I had 3 Ground types and quite a few x4 Weaknesses spread out throughout my team. This time (When Pupitar evolves), I'll have all different types. Besides Rock, I'll have Dark, Ground, Psychic, Flying, Water and Grass.
I was actually planning to have Solrock on my team so I could use Explosion again since Golem's helped out a lot. Taking out Whitney's Miltank (SelfDestruct at the time), Clair's Kingdra (It survived Dragon Pulse with 3HP), Karen's Umbreon (since it's the most annoying of her team) and Lance's Lv50 Dragonite. All OHKOing. But I decided to go with Lunatone since I needed another Special Attacker besides Omastar. I also planned to have Aggron but I switched it for Cradily since I wanted to try it out and plus to have a Grass type to help out against Water types.

Update 3:

Well I've just beaten all the Kanto Gyms. Blue was tough, I was pretty underleveled and that No Guard Machamp was tough. Now for intense training for Red. I could face the Elite Four again which I think I should do so first.

Well, hello there folks. I am back with an update of my Grass monotype challenge. So I swept through Roark easily, seeing as how Grass > Rock/Ground any day of the week. Trained some more, took down Team Galactic in the Valley Windworks and the meadow outside Floraroma. Then I made my way through Eterna Forest with Cheryl to Eterna City. After taking down Fisherman Andrew and his Magikarp onslaught, I went and took out Gardenia with Grotle (seeing as how Budew was only packing Mega Drain for attacking moves). From there, I whipped down Cycling Road... By whipped, I mean I got whipped and by down, I mean the direction my Pokemon's HP was headed. I made it to Hearthome finally and got the Eevee from Bebe. I proceeded to make a long trek back to Eterna Forest to use a Rare Candy on Eevee at the Moss Rock to evolve it into Leafeon. Then after getting the Exp. Share and giving it to Leafeon, I walked all the way back to Hearthome and showed Fantina who's boss. AFTER ALL THAT... BUDEW FINALLY EVOLVED INTO ROSELIA AFTER 22 LEVELS (17 of them with the Soothe Bell).

So I am doing my first ever monotype challenge. I am running it in my HG. I am doing a flying monotype using pokemon only from the 2nd gen and only in HG. After I finish off the Elite 4 for the first time I will evolve a couple of pokkemon past their final 2nd gen form. I am already through Olivine City and currently down in Cianwood City going to fight the gym leader Chuck.

I faced the Elite Four one last time before facing Red for the Final Showdown. After a tough battle against Red, I came up on top and completed the challenge!

Made my way to Sunyshore today. I did some training on the route right beside the city in order to get my Pokemon ready for the last Gym.

When I finished training, I entered the city. I met Flint right away, who told me about Volkner being bored. I went to the lighthouse to find Volkner, and then I went to the Pokemon Center.

Once my team was healed, I went to the Gym. I defeated the trainers and solved the Gym's puzzle with ease. Then, I began my battle with Volkner. He started with Raichu, who I took out with Lopunny. Next was Luxray, who I managed to KO with Clefable's Ice Beam. Clefable also defeated Octillery with Thunderbolt. I then switched Lopunny back in to beat Ambipom.

Now, I've collected all the badges. I'm going to go through Victory Road next.

Since last time, I chose to pass up the Olivine City gym battle to go train and explore at the Lake of Rage!!!! When I arrived I knew sraight away that something was wrong. As I gaze across the open water I see what appears to be a large red pokemon. So natuarlly I hop on Mantine and surf out to get a better look. A RED Gyrados!!! What a find! I chose to engage in battle with it in atempt to capture such a rare find. After little struggle I capture this magnificant pokemon.
Once back on shore a man in a cape approaches me. He says his name is Lance the Dragon Trainer and asks for my help. He says that weird radio signals are coming from Mohogany Town and he wants me to help investigate. I agree and meet up with him there. We ended up uncovering a huge Team Rocket scheme. After scucessfully twarting their plot, Lance rewarded me with HM05!
I decided that after my team made fools of Team Rocket it was time to challenge Jasmine in Olivine. Her first Magnemite made short work of both Crobat and Xatu before Togetic managed to finish it off. I then made the decision to let Jumpluff have a try at the next Magnemite. Jumpluff made easy work out of both Magnemite AND Steelix! now I am off to train before dealing with Pryce in Mohogany.
