    Robopocalypse-Daniel H. Wilson

It really is better than it sounds. Like World War Z crossed with Isaac Asimov

it's called "I am not myself these days" by Josh Kilmer-Purcell. It's the memoir of a drag queen with goldfish boobies. It's hillarious!

Slowly savouring Bill Bryson's travel literature about his adventures in Australia in In A Sunburned Country.
A fellow SPPfer actually gave me this book as a gift when we met irl some years ago, and it's terrific. It's made me laugh my head off on the bus and reignite my fascination for Australia. :>

    Game of Thrones.

Easier to read than the Lord of the Rings, but I prefer the TV Series - never thought I would EVER say that!

Becoming Madame Mao by Amchee Min. It's a novelized biography of Jiang Qing, aka Madame Mao aka The White Boned Demon, the wife of Mao Zedong, leader of the Gang of 4, and force behind the Chinese Cultural Revolution.
