Default Hydreigon, Salamence, Dragonite, or Garchomp?

    My current team consists of:
Serperior (113 base speed and my Leech Seeder and will hopefully get Contrary via Dream World soon)
    Bouffalant (Nice attack)
Gigalith (Stealth rocker and potential physical wall)
    Metagross (Well... Its a Metagross)
Conkeldurr (Probably the best Gen5 fighting type)
    and Surprisingly, no Dragon type.

All have 4x weaknesses except for Hydreigon, but i have trouble because they have the potential for being an excellent sweeper. I actually have all 4 in my Pokemon Black game, so i have no problem with obtaining one. My personal favorite would be Hydreigon, I am open to suggestions on the dragon type pokemon and on my team.

    Edit: I'm refraining from legendaries

Take any except for garchomp. I personally like Salamence the best.

I personally would use Dragonite, just because he's originally. But his extra Flying Type makes Rock Type come into his list of weaknesses. Same for Hydreigon; his Dragon/Dark Types bring in Fighting and Bug Types to his weaknesses. Salamence has the same downside as Dragonite. I would choose Garchomp. His Ground is a good addition to his Dragon Type. Though Ice is 4x affective against him.

I'd say go for Hydreigon, because you need a Special Sweeper, and you can freely switch it in on Ground attacks too so it's effectively a Flying-type without a 4x weakness to Ice! I had one on my most recent Black playthrough and it almost felt like cheating to use it.

Yes, but with Garchomp's Ground Type, he can easily learn a Rock/Ground Type move and KO those nasty Ice Types.

In the Special department (which your team really needs), Hydreigon works best. But... You already have 2 Fighting weaknesss in Gigalith and Bouffalant.

It seems like your team isnt Rock & Ice weak. So Dragon / Flying is good as it resists many moves aimed at your team.

Dragonite offers good bulk while Salamence has sheer power.
Seing the rest of your team is more defensively oriented, I think Salamence would be the best Dragon to use.

I'd get Salamence just because I think he's awesome. That may not have much merit, but Salamence is pretty good for a number of reasons.

    Personal Favorite: Hydreigon

    Bulk: Dragonite

Physical Sweeper:Salamence, 2nd choice is Garchomp (Dragon Dance is better than Swords Dance, plus Sal has Moxie)

    Special Sweeper/Late Battle Sweeper/Best Movepool/Bulk:Hydreigon

I like Hydreigon the best. He has a large movepool, and so he can counter many foes. He is also bulky, making him the best for me. My 2nd choice is Salamence cuz of Moxie.

Looking at your team, I'd go Salamence.
You'll need a special attacker, which Salamence and Hydreigon will fill nicely. However, you have two pokemon weak to fighting, so Hydreigon isn't really an option as you'll want to avoid having a major fighting type weakness. The Ground type is pretty much covered with Gigalith, so Garchomp isn't really needed but can still be utilized if you do decide to use it. Finally, you don't really need another defensive pokemon since most of your team is defensively oriented, so Dragonite isn't needed as well. Plus, due to your team being defensively oriented, you can work around Salamence's shortcomings in that area, so it balances out nicely.

I'm not a dragon type user but I have to say Hydreigon simply because it's the only one without a double weakness to Ice.

Hydreigon. He's a staple in my team. Dragonite is a close 2nd though. I use one in my team also.

Garchomp, how is it in last? Great pokemon. Other than that, I say Hydreigon, then flygon.

Haxorus is pretty good in battle, with its mold breaker ability combined with a choice band, outrage, and earthquake he's pretty hard to beat. I usually have to revenge them.

Anyways, since your current team consists of mostly physically based pokemon (barring perversity Serperior). I'd say that Salamence (Mixmence), Garchomp (Scarfchomp), and Hydreigon would be good choices though adding one won't really fix your team's major flaw.

If I were you I'd go with a mixed set on your dragon (you need a wallbreaker/stallbreaker) and most likely take off either metagross or gigalith. A lot of dragon types like working with steel types other than metagross (like heatran, magnezone, and scizor) and Giglaith isn't the best wall/stealth rocker out there...

Hydreigon, only if you replace Afro Bull with another special sweeper (preferably Volcanora) to get rid of your crippling weakness to fighting moves.

Guys, please, this thread is over. The OP must have chosen the dragon with the most amount of votes and has a team of level 100's by now.
