I just got a 3DS a couple weeks ago and I really wanted to try out the 3D Pokedex (not pro) and I printed out some ar cards and when ever I use them the Pokemon isn't standing on the card, instead it's always floating sideways with the top of its head facing me. I haven't been able to figure out how to fix it so if anyone knows please help.

You have to turn the AR marker. Don't ask me in what way, because I don't think my grasp of spacial relationships is quite that strong, but to give you an example, if you take the AR code and turn it 90 degrees left or right, the critter will appear turned to the left or right.

I tried doing that but all it did was have him floating on his side in different directions. I will post pics as soon as i get the sd card to work.

I've noticed that some of the AR codes on the website here will result in the turn, as you said.

You might instead try looking at the AR marker the game itself provides for a given critter and then replicating that rather than taking them from the site here. Replicating the AR markers is very easily done on a computer, or even more easily done with some graph paper and a dark pen or marker.

The pokemon still comes out sideways even when i drew it on graph paper any other ideas on how to fix the pokemon ar cards, because right now I have no idea what to do.

That tends to happen in low lighting conditions. The software can't determine the angle properly

Well I just tried going to a well sunlit area and it did the same thing I also just put two bright lamps up next to it and it still does the same thing. I even pointed it at the ar markers on the computer and their still coming out sideways, I have yet to see the pokemon stand up on its feet. So any other thoughts that might contribute to my ever growing and annoying dillema?

By any chance do you guys think its my ar viewer that is glitching because I have tried everything suggested and it still doesn't work. If not if you guys have any other ideas on how to fix it that would be great, or if worse comes to worse we say 3DS is just trolling me.

I read on Bulbapedia that to get the pause button for Pokémon downloaded through spot pass after the October 2011 update you need to run the update again. How do I do this?

Also are the spot pass Pokémon the same for everyone on a given day, or do you only receive Pokémon you don't have?

I finally finished collecting all the data for my pokédex yesturday. Would have been a day earlier, but wifi wasn't working. So glad they removed that thing where I had to do something before they would send new pokémon daily again. ^^

To update Pokédex 3D, enter the application, click the gear sign, then scroll down to "Update".

Also are the spot pass Pokémon the same for everyone on a given day, or do you only receive Pokémon you don't have?

They're different. You receive three Pokémon you don't have registered each day.
