I'm a bit of a n00b as far as knowing how the Battle Tower works this gen. So I'm assuming that the AI switches? So no more Trick Scarf Teams right?

Got to 50+ with an average team but just making sure before I make a new team to aim for the top.

all he really needs, he's quite bulky, just watch for fire attacks.
I'm actually going to try something similar to that...

Drizzletoad and Omastar for leads and then Breloom and Toxicroak as back up. Omastar and Toxicroak are the defensive pokemon. Omaster having 252 Hp and Toxicroak having 252 Hp as well. I'm counting on Poison Heal for Breloom to keep him alive as well as Dry Skin + Surf Healing + Black Sludge + Drain Punch to keep Toxicroak alive.

By the way, the Battle Subway this gen is DRASTICALLY more difficult then the Battle Tower and stuff from previous Gens.

Unfortunately, TrickScarf was nerfed this gen, so I can't repeat my 144 win streak from the Platinum Battle Tower.

I'm experimenting with a Substitute Dry Skin Toxicroak in the Battle Subway in tandem with Omaster, so far so good. Just need to work on Sucker Punch prediction a bit more.

My idea for protection is Spore Breloom. I figured thats enough time to let him set up if I can get both to sleep.

Trick Scarf isn't nerfed, there are still a few occasions where the AI
won't switch. They do however switch more often, so stat dropping
seems to be the most optimal way to do it this Gen.

Oh, and I was working on this on my two 12+ hour plane rides

And I'm still going, I'll update when I lose.

Shuckle you're a monster at this. I'm still building a team so let's see how this goes. So you're at the top of the Single line again eh?
    Just like last gen.

Whoa! My new team i'm building is pretty epic, but i'm not sure i'll ever get that high for my win streak.

Nah, it's the Shuckle/Gastrodon/Ferrothorn team. I have some
vids, one of which will be on YouTube when I get my comp
back. I'm at 433 right now, so watch for me to get haxed
out before too long, it's inevitable at this point lol.

I don't get why you use Ferrothorn there? Sure, you can set up 6 curses with ease and get rid of the first pokemon, but what if your opponent then brings out a Volcarona? Surely it'd make more sense to set up with something like DD Dragonite, SD Scizor or Volcarona for a clean sweep?

I use him because of his resistances, yea, I could sweep faster
with someone else, but Gyro Ball at +6 Atk and -6 Spe OHKO's
a good number of fire types. Besides, if Shuckle and/or Gastrodon
are alive they can stall them out or make them useless.

Not saying they aren't a problem, they are, but they can be dealt
    with for the most part.

That same question could be asked about Dragonite, Scizor or Volcarona.... What if Mamoswine, Charizard, or Tyranitar comes out?

The Scizor mentioned by Da Who! is something which came into my head too. But, that's mostly because it gets Brick Break to murder Heatran with and that's probably not a great reason to sacrifice a load of bulk and slightly more useful typing. One thing I'll say (if you haven't already done so) is don't limit yourself to Gyro Ball. It's so easy to screw yourself over by using that move. It also needs quite a big setup, which you can't always get if whatever the AI sends out first has managed to put pressure on you. Power Whip > Leech Seed.

Bulldoze lowers speed, right? Absolutely abuse it. You don't want to be burned before you can sub up with Ferrothorn or worse, OHKO'd. Or any number of nasty things. I can imagine a Cursing opponent screwing you over too. I'm not gonna re-calc those EVs but I'll just check that you did those calculations at Lv 50 rather than 100, right?

Other than those little precautions, it looks good.

Yea, Ferro has Power Whip for that reason only.

Bulldoze has saved me from status many times, perfect for ghost
Types that try to W-o-W me.

Yea the calcs are for Lv.50

I did think about replacing Ferro at one point, but his bulk is just
too valuable especially since I have no reliable way of dealing with
    Physical attack power.

Edit: Enjoy at the speed of light.

I'm not happy with the turn of events, today, I lost on Battle 45 of the Battle Subway.

    VS

So as you can plainly see, not good for me, they pack a lot of offensive power, but I was confident in Omastar's ability, having had little to no trouble from Battle 1 to Battle 44.

Politoed & Omastar VS. Thundurus & Tornadus
I switch in Kingdra, Thundurus uses Volt Switch, Tornadus does ~40% to Kingdra, Politoed Scald's Virizion [no burn ]
Politoed & Kingdra VS. Virizion & Tornadus
Focus all energy on Virizion, left with ~10%, Tornadus and Virizion combine for ~60% on Toed. Kingdra KO's Virizion next turn, Tornadus does another ~20% to Toed.
Politoed & Kingdra VS. Latios & Tornadus
Latios KO's Toed, Kingdra does ~60% to Tornadus.
Omastar & Kingdra VS. Latios & Tornadus
Omastar pulls off a Surf thanks to a miss from Tornadus, Latios leaves it at low HP. KO'd next turn, Kingdra puts Tornadus at ~10%
Toxicroak & Kingdra VS. Latios & Tornadus
Sucker Punch + Waterfall = dead Latios, Tornadus uses Rest X.X
Toxicroak & Kingdra VS. Thundurus & Tornadus
Sucker Punch + Waterfall does ~80% to Thundurus, Kingdra KO'd by Discharge, Tornadus still sleeping.
    Toxicroak VS. Thundurus & Tornadus
Sucker Punch KO's Thundurus, Tornadus wakes up and OHKO's with Air Slash.

I thought about using Ice Beam on Thundurus on Turn 1, but used Scald instead. Things could have been different, Virizion would have been dead before it could attack, maybe Kingdra could've used Dragon Dance for the win, who know's?

But each of those pokemon has only one or two counters, Mamoswine and Weavile are the only ones I can really think of for Dragonite. Whereas almost any strong special attacker that comes out can counter Ferrothorn

Not really, I've used Ferrothorn before, and only neutral and super effective super effective hits do harm.

NOTE: I will be updating the OP over the weekend, if I missed your
record post, please post it again so it can be added. Thanks.

Well guys, my streak is over. 462.

Here's the RMT for the team if you want details.

Here's a list of some videos:

    Battle 49: 33-29998-41626
    Battle 204: 59-05657-24468
    Battle 329: 23-05957-67861 YouTube Video
    Battle 463: 26-39851-15353

    Backpacker Cedric: Lilligant1/Nidoking1/Dugtrio1

    How I lost:

Lilligant came out and Petal Danced. Shuckle Power Splits and KO's in
4 turns with Struggle Bug. This may have been my demise, as I could
have easily set up on her. >.> Nidoking comes out, Hones Claws and
I Power Split. He HC's again as I switch to Gastrodon. He Megahorn's
for more than half my HP and I Flash. He HC's again, I Flash again, and
he KO's with Megahorn. Shuckle comes in and gets a Rock Slide, I Power
Split, then switch to Ferrothorn as he Hones Claws. He Megahorn's, it
crits leaving me with 42 HP. I try to sub and can't, so I switch back to
Shuckle and Power Split again after taking a Megahorn. Ferro comes
back in and takes a Rock Slide, Megahorn crits for a KO. Shuckle gets a
Rock Slide crit and goes down.

I lost mainly due to sloppiness. There was no reason to KO Lilligant, I
should have let Ferrothorn set up on her, but I was in too much of a
hurry. The crit hax didn't help, but it could have been avoided. My bad.

EDIT: I ****ed up the leaderboard, so I now need to fix it.. >.<
    Please be patient..

EDIT 2: Ok, thanks to the Google cache I was able to copy the links to
peoples record posts and such, but I couldn't copy the old table format.
I'll get it back up to normal in the next few days.

Congrats on the streak man, that's insane.

My streak is 93, details/proof on Pg 9. I've only played once since then, currently sitting on a 42 streak. I don't think I'll get 400+ lol, but hopefully I can crack 100 on my second try(once I get my DS back >_>).
