Pokemon of the Week #4
Today, I will talk about the
Armor Bird Pokemon,

Skarmory, the Armor Bird pokemon arrived in 2nd gen, with the Steel/Flying typing, being only weak to Electric and Fire.
When you look at Skarmory's stats, it SCREAMS Physical Wall, and it does it's job perfectly. With 65/140/70 defenses, High defense, decent HP and Special Defense. You can make Skarmory be Specially Defensive just to take Special hits better.
It's ability is also great. Sturdy will allow you to get atleast Rocks/1 layer of spikes.
Now on to the moves. With it's supporting moves: Spikes, Stealth Rock, Roost, Toxic, Taunt, and Whirlwind. And with offensive moves such as Brave Bird and Drill Peck. Spikes and Stealth Rock when you need hazards. Roost for reliable recovery. Toxic and Taunt are uncommon since Skarmory have better options to choose from. And Whirlwind for phazing. Hazards, Reliable Recovery, Phazing, and Sturdy makes Skarmory a great wall and supporter to your team. Brave Bird and Drill Peck should be the only offensive moves you should use, but if you don't want recoil, Drill Peck is for you.
Also, one of the famous cores with Skarmory is Blissey, to make the famous SkarmBliss core.

Also, once I finish with the OU tier, which tier do you want me to next? Preferbaly Ubers and NU. I have no knowledge of UU, RU, and LC (:
And I'm going to make a note on my iPod to remember which pokes I did for POTW. Time to search it up...

And it's also sad when barely anyone posts about POTW ;-;, oh well...

Sand Force is nifty ability that can be very good for sweeping in sand. You see, Sand Force powers up Rock, Ground and Steel type moves by 30% while in a Sandstorm. Generally, it's overlooked, but can still be useful. Excadrill may have it, but it's preferred ability is Sand Rush. A good example though, would be Landorus-I. With it's speed beating all potential threats other than Starmie, it can function well in sand. With a Choice Scarf, even Starmie will bow down (unless it too, is scarfed). Other pokemon, such as Gastrodon, Hippowdon and Dugtrio all have this ability too, but Storm Drain, Sand Stream and Areana Trap are superior to it. Nonetheless, Sand Force is an amazing ability and should not be overlooked.
