4x damage from Ice is just as bad, and Ice Beam can be learned by more Pokemon in OU than Fire moves I reckon.

You have a great point, but Scizor has it worse with a x4 weakness to fire, not x2 weakness to fire like Metagross, but they both still get OHKO'd in one stab fire attack.
Metagross is just as good as Scizor it's just if you want Scizor or Metagross's secondary typing as coverage when building a team.

Das true. Meatgross and Scizor have some of the same moves as well IIRC. I think its just personal preference on what coverage you want on your team

Yeah it's all about the preference of which secondary typing you want for coverage(bug or psychic), and how it would work in a team(singles) or fit in well with it's partners with working together(doubles).
I think they are both great Pokemon, and I've used both of them. It really depends on what you are trying to counter.

Anywayz, anyone up for a wi-fi single or double VGC style battle?

On Vespiquen, is there any reason to use Heal Order over Roost? I know Roost takes the Flying type of the user away for the turn; since it's already pretty slow, it doesn't matter, but it could come in handy in Trick Room teams.
Just asking in case Heal Order has some hidden bonus for Vespiquen or such.

    This I got from Bulbapedia:

"Heal Order recovers half of the user's maximum HP."

"Roost restores half of the user's maximum HP. If the user is a Flying-type, it will lose its Flying-type (thus being treated as a single-type Pokémon) until the next turn. If a non-Flying-type uses Roost, then there are no side-effects."

    "Generation V
If a pure Flying-type Pokémon uses Roost, it will become Normal-type until the end of the turn."

It heals the same amount. Vespiquen is part flying so it would lose it's advantage of being able to fly and make ground moves non-effective, so I think Heal Order is honestly better.

Yeah; an immunity to Ground is pretty handy, but the potential neutrality to both Ice and Electric, and also reduced damage from Rock is also good.
    I'll see what I do.
    Thanks.

    You're very welcome!
Very true, I didn't even think about the super effective moves not denting Vespiquen! I was mainly thinking Landorus-T, Landorus, and a side of Landy wouldn't be very good for the quen.. xD
Well, now that I think about it, the thing Landy would more than likely use rock slide/stone edge which would give TR Vespiquen a hard time without roost!
I say either is a good option when they heal the same amount, but with x4 rock weakness taken away I say go with Roost. Sorry I always think about the OU beasts.. ^.^"

It is more of how they would fit in the team and considering the weaknesses of all your pokes, nit just that one. Scizor and Garchomp are one of the best pokes in OU despite the x4 weaknesses.

Yeah, but Vespiquen has a resitance to ground anyways, so it won't miss the immunity that muhc..

    Yea I know.

I'm more so leaning towards Metagross on this one.

Should he have a Life orb or Scarf though?

Not scarf. Choice Band, Leftovers, Balloon, or LO.

        Spoiler:- possible sets:

Scizor is usually better because of u-turn, SuperPower, Swords Dance, and Technician. Meta has more bulk though.

Do you have more of the team planned out? It would help if this is like the 6th member or something. Even if they are just ideas, it'd help decide what to use (:

I don't have much of the rest planned out yet, So far I have Tyranitar (To get Sandstorm upon entering), Glicsor (He get's evasion in the Sand and he is terrifying if you can get Swords Dance up) and Metagross (Bulky and can take moves like Ice Beam which would OHKO Gliscor).

There's one problem with your team already. Gliscor. Sand Veil altogether is banned. Even if you don't use Sand, it's still banned.
Also Metagross tank Ice Beam? It can already tank one since it has the bulk and it resist ice anyway.
    No.

Well, I don't play OU, but I do know that Metagross is very good.
So is Poison Heal Gliscor...Hyper Cutter just sucks.

Hyper Cutter isn't terrible in itself. Lando-T is everywhere. But the healing and status immunity from Poison Heal is just too much to pass up on. Hyper Cutter is still okay on a SD or Baton Pass set if you want extra insurance.

    I don't have to worry about Lando-T anyways..I don't play OU.
But I could see that helping with SD sets, yes.

Insane request: Does anyone have a Hitmonlee/Hitmonchan with Vacuum Wave and Blaze Kick?
If not, I'm looking for a normal Tyrogue, and all the ones on the GTS want a Lv.9 --- or a legendary.
