Metagross is pretty physically defensive. So they could work together, though your metagross is going to be more of an attacker. I think Metagross can learn moves like bullet punch too.
Okay, I'll have to check now to help.

Okay, it has 70 speed, but it's def is 130. Pursuit could be good for revenge killing, as would bullet punch. All depends on your needs. I'd probably go with a rock polish set, but I don't know if the rest of your team really needs it. Metagross will cause a lot of switches, that's for sure. Pull up a Rock Polish to double your speed and you could pull off a sweep. Unfortunately, even with it's speed, it still can't outspeed base 110 choice scarfed Pokemon (like Gengar).

Switch when I cannot counter something reliably-Mine's Ferro was a demon in that match, stopping two potential sweeps
Any thing else worth mentioning?:Very nice Ferrothorn switches. If I didn't have my Cradily, the results would've been very different,I'm sure.

    Gyarados @ Leftovers
    Trait: Intimidate
    EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SDef
    Impish Nature
    - Thunder Wave
    - Taunt
    - Waterfall
    - Dragon Tail

This is a Utility Gyarados I modified for my team. it prevents Entry hazards from being set up, slows down fast threats, and gives a chance to paraflinch too. plus Dragon tail can phaze out something that wants to set up on your face. thanks to intimidate, it takes physical hits well!

Pretty good, actually! I was suggesting subdd, but this also looks quite good.

Thank you, and it all depends on the role your team needs to be most effective. for instance, my team didnt have a rapid spinner, so this was the best set i could use for Gyarados. Dragon tail also helps me do more residual damage when there are Spikes or SR on the field, and even more damage if Toxic spikes are out, and i paraflinch them.

I prefer the first one myself, just not a big AgiliGross fan.

You could always try Bulky SubDD Gyarados. It's more useful in stall teams since that could be your way to win. I don't remember te EV spread howevee, but I got it from Smogon.

If something has Moxie, for me it's ALWAYS a tank. You get a free attack boost with each KO, so why not make your sweeper far more resistant to hits than it should be?

I use Intimidate since I set up on Physical attackers(that's not named Skarmory or any phazers) or just make setting up way easier. Once I do 3 Dragon Dances, it's usually enough to sweep through the rest of the team, which Moxie is kind of redundant. That's why I opt Intimidate > Moxie on one of my teams. But if I want it to sweep, I would of course choose Moxie over Intimidate.

I'm not sure why, but I love bulky boosters. There's a double dance thunderus-t set that's pretty awesome, and Multiscale bulky dragonite is one of my favorite set up sweepers. But for Salamance in particular, it always sucks when you get good boosts and have to switch out against something physical after taking down a pokemon or two. Intimidate's useless at that point, and Moxie may be the difference between an iffy 2KO and a 3KO (and that sucks against something like Skarmory who will just Roost off the damage)

True enough, but that's generally why it's good to put a special move in (if you can afford it) with your Moxie sweepers. Always kills stuff like Skarm fairly easily.

Like the mixed metagross set with Grass Knot (for bulky waters) and HP Fire?
Well, maybe if it had moxie. Salamance's sp. atk isn't bad so it's okay. And it's got boosting moves just in case.
