Sup slacker and yeah Swamp, Smogon uses it's own rules. VGC generally uses the in-game rules (no Legendaries etc).

damd dude that are some wise words! I haven't thought about it that way.

I'm fine with Smogon rules but the clauses they put are BS I don't fully support what he says but what he states about people saying he broke Smogon rules in VCG meta game is totally horse crap

    So, I'm currently using a Pangoro;

    Pangoro
    Mold Breaker
    Adamant
    252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Storm Throw / Crunch / Earthquake / Stone Edge

While very weak to Fairy (4x) and 2x weak to Fight/Flying, it's a proper beast. 394 HP, 381 Attack and while slow, can really pack a proper punch. I'm really enjoying using this guy so far, and with Mold Breaker Storm Throw will always crit. Ofcourse Iron Fist with Hammer Arm has similar power, it lowers the already low speed, and I like the edge Mold Breaker has over Levitate and other annoying abilities.

I'm still trying to decide on an item though. Was thinking Leftovers - any other ideas?

in my Y version i experienced the power of Fairy types when Val's Sylveon Dazzled my Pangoro, OHKOing it. Pathetic, I know. However, with Assault Vest, Pangoro could easily take two SE hits before fainting. Plus the set doesn't have any non-attacking moves, so it doesn't compromise anything.
I would recommend Passing Agility to one of these kinds of attackers, as they happen to be very useful, but without proper speed they can faint quickly in battle.
I would not recommend using Weakness Policy, seeing as a single hit from a Fairy move could be a potential OHKO.

Sorry guys, almost forgot about this. DK's out of town and charged me to conclude voting for this round:

    Doublade: 5
    Manaphy: 7
    Gyrados: 1
    Conkeldurr: 1

Manaphy wins and is now a part of the team.

You may now all suggest a partner for MegaAbsol and Manaphy
Remember to nominate based on the team style and on the two Pokemon we now have.

    I personally like using Scrafty

    Scrafty
    Shed Skin (yes!)
    Adamant or Jolly
    252 Atk + 252 HP (Adamant) or 252 Speed (Jolly) + 4 Def/Sp Def
    Leftovers
Dragon Dance / Drain Punch / Ice Punch / Crunch

Shed Skin is a nice niche that counters Toxic Spikes, Burn and Paralyze, Drain Punch offers sustain while Ice Punch is used for cover. Crunch can be switched for something else, like Zen Headbutt, Iron Head (B2W2 Move Tutor) or Poison Jab (to counter Fairy). You could even go as far as replacing Dragon Dance and use an Assault Vest, making his Sp. Def rise to insane levels. While still weak to Fairy he can take almost any other threat easily. With this build I could clear 3-5 opponents before fainting. I recommend the Adamant build.

lol why are we using manaphy. i like it but i feel cheap using it.

    ok, so ima nominate Talonflame.

    Talonflame@leftovers
    Gale Wings
    200HP/252at/56spe
    Jolly nature
    -Flare Blitz
    -Bulk up
    -Brave Bird
    -Roost

Bulky Talon. lets be honest and say that thanks to GW talon doesnt need much speed so why not make it bulky? Due to bulk up it can rasie its attack and defence and possibly sweep. Roost sticks with the bulky theme and can heal of reciol and the other moves are standard for talon. Talon is a brillient partner of absol and mana due to it resisting fighting, fairy, bug and grass, and manaphy resists water, so it gives the team great synergy. If we used Scrafty Breloom would wreak us but talon ends breloom completely.

    Hey, guys.

I got lucky on the GTS, and obtained an awesome Chimchar with Iron Fist, great IVs, and Jolly nature.
Also had ThunderPunch and Fire Punch.

Managed to breed some; two of them are 4V (HP, Attack, SpDefense and Speed), two are 3V (HP, Attack, SpDefense), and one is also 3V with HP, Attack & Speed.
All have Iron Fist and the Punches as egg moves; one of the 4Vs is female.

I can breed more if needed; just checking if anyone wants one.

Also, thanks, Charizard. I was able to get my Nintendo Network ID from the System Settings.

Well, since males can pass on HAs now, I think it's possible, since you could transfer your event Chimchar, breed it with a Ditto, get a female with Iron Fist, and be good to go.
    No?

Jup makes sense, are there any other HA starters availlable that were event only in the 5gen games?
    aside from Iron Fist Chimchar?

I think all 4th Gen starters with HAs are released, along with Gen 3.

Only ones not released are 5th Gen and 2nd Gen, I think.

We're talking about Hidden Abilities on starters, not starters themselves.

My next nom will have to be... Yes he is back.

    Bellsprout@Binding Band
    Gender:Male only
    Ability: Chlorophyll
    Evs:4hp/252attack/252speed
    Nature: Naughty
    -"Sleep Powder"
    -"Growth"
    -"Bind"
    -"Vine Whip"

With Bellsprout on our team we can't go wrong. Bellsprout the threat himself brings a whole new meaning of totally raping your opponent. Naughty nature is pretty much self explanatory. The EVS are that way since he has to be as fast as possible to catch his pray and overpower them to put them to sleep. First off my man Bellsprout lures in prey with his lustful dance. Binding band is so once you put a mon to sleep you can use bind to tie them down, and have it do more residual damage while they cannot escape sprouts grasp. Growth should be used next to get nice big and powerful, this step is very important with all of those mega Gardevoirs running around. Lastly you abuse them with your Vine whips till they faint, then repeat the process.
