Ok, my bad, I've added calculations for legendary pokemon.

252+ SpA Life Orb Solar Power Heliolisk Thunderbolt vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Genesect in Sun: 153-181 (104.7 - 123.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO (does not outspeed, genesect has 6.3&% to OHKO with u-turn)
252+ SpA Life Orb Solar Power Heliolisk Hidden Power Fire vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Jirachi in Sun: 192-229 (109.7 - 130.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO (does not outspeed, Jirachi can't OHKO)
252+ SpA Life Orb Solar Power Heliolisk Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Heatran in Sun: 179-213 (90.4 - 107.5%) -- 50% chance to OHKO
252+ SpA Life Orb Solar Power Heliolisk Thunderbolt vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Thundurus in Sun: 175-207 (112.9 - 133.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO (does not outspeed, Thundurus gets OHKO if hits with focus blast)
252+ SpA Life Orb Solar Power Heliolisk Thunderbolt vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Manaphy in Sun: 289-343 (165.1 - 196%) -- guaranteed OHKO (does not outspeed, but can only be 3HKO)
252+ SpA Life Orb Solar Power Heliolisk Focus Blast vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Kyurem-B in Sun: 283-335 (140.7 - 166.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ SpA Life Orb Solar Power Heliolisk Thunderbolt vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Deoxys-S in Sun: 157-187 (100 - 119.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO (does not outspeed)
    252+ SpA Life Orb Solar Power Heliolisk Thunderbolt vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Deoxys-D in Sun: 75-91 (47.7 - 57.9%) -- 94.9% chance to 2HKO
252+ SpA Life Orb Solar Power Heliolisk Hidden Power Fire vs. 220 HP / 0 SpD Celebi in Sun: 198-234 (97.5 - 115.2%) -- 87.5% chance to OHKO
252+ SpA Life Orb Solar Power Heliolisk Dark Pulse vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Latias in Sun: 140-166 (89.7 - 106.4%) -- 43.8% chance to OHKO

I did not check for uber pokemon because there is no need to xD If your opponent has them, you won't use Heliolisk against them.
Latios and Landorus OHKO and outspeed it.

Alright guys, I've got another one of those crazy ideas in my head. What about a Linoone-based team?

With Shadow Claw gaining a lot of neutral coverage this gen, Steel types aren't so much its bane anymore. Between that move, Seed Bomb, and Extremespeed, it has extremely good coverage. Belly Drum turns this thing into an immediate monster, allowing it to sweep, provided it has just that one turn to set up. For more adventuresome players, adding a Salac Berry as well as giving it the Gluttony ability raises its speed by one stage at the same time, giving it instant +6/+1 offenses.

Offensively, this set is no slouch. Unfortunately, there are drawbacks. A 3-move attacking set, while having superb coverage, is extremely vulnerable to being crippled from both status and strong hits on the turn it attempts to set up. Therefore, a good set would be:

    Extremespeed/Seed Bomb
    Shadow Claw
    Substitute
    Belly Drum

The first two moves give you a clear choice: Raw power or coverage? With this set you can only pick one, as Shadow Claw is far too valuable on this set to simply give up, with its ability to cover at least neutrally for all of Linoone's counters. If you go the coverage route, it'll still hit like a truck on almost whatever it hits, but it will lack priority along with a STAB, which unfortunately is this Pokemon's main selling point (hence the need for a Salac Berry). However, if you ditch Seed Bomb, you'll not be able to hit bulky waters along with rock types very hard at all.

So, in this current meta, do you think this guy would stand a chance? I'm pretty sure it'll be able to make a strong showing in 6th Gen. While it may not be the best mons out there, with the right support it'll certainly be among the deadliest with the type changes from last generation.

I think although Linoone is a cool Pokemon to use, reaching 1024 Atk after a Belly Drum, it would be hard set-up as its poor defenses means that it is easily KO'd. For example, Latias's Draco Meteor already does 60-70% at -2. In addition, although it's quite powerful at +6, its base 70 Atk means that Linoone fails to KO many defensive threats in this metagame.

For example, even with an Adamant Nature at +6, Linoone fails to 2KHO defensive Skarmory with Shadow Claw. Skamory can either phaze it out or just KO it with Brave Bird.
    +6 252+ Atk Linoone Shadow Claw vs. 252 HP / 232+ Def Skarmory: 128-151 (38.3 - 45.2%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
    0 Atk Skarmory Brave Bird vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Linoone: 160-190 (53.8 - 63.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Hippodown can tank a hit and Earthquake to KO.
    +6 252+ Atk Linoone Seed Bomb vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Hippowdon: 328-386 (78 - 91.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
    4 Atk Hippowdon Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Linoone: 178-210 (59.9 - 70.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after sandstorm damage

Aegislash can King's Shield on the prediction Shadow Claw, tank a hit and then KO with Sacred Sword.
    +3 252+ Atk Linoone Shadow Claw vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Aegislash-Shield: 196-232 (60.4 - 71.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
    252+ Atk Aegislash-Blade Sacred Sword vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Linoone: 358-422 (120.5 - 142%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Linoone fails to KO Heatran too.
    +6 252+ Atk Linoone Shadow Claw vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Heatran: 212-250 (54.9 - 64.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
    4 SpA Heatran Lava Plume vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Linoone: 160-190 (53.8 - 63.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Linoone can definitely be used, but it would require a lot of support and there are better options such as Lucario and Azumarill. However, I think the Linoone can be successfully used as a UU Pokemon, as most of the defensive Pokemon will be stuck in OU and Linoone will have a larger opportunity to sweep there.

Linoone is a cool pokemon, but it lacks power.
Moonclawz is right. It just can't go against steel pokemon. Even with HP fire and a spatk boosting nature it can't even KO a defensive Skarmory.

What I think is just use Belly Drum + 3 Attacks. Linoone is not that great defensively anyway and it's better just to attack. The only useful about Sub is to dodge statuses. And there is a buffed Infiltrator and Sound Moves. And with Sub+BD leaves you at 25%. So Sub < Seed Bomb.

If Linoone is not so good in OU, perhaps it can carve out a niche in UU. It'd be quite the raise, but with the comeback of TR's popularity, as well as bulky offense and tankiness in the spotlight, bulk and power>speed may still stand for each tier.

And DD Crawdaunt almost got me to Maison's Super Singles round 40 (woot!), but what should I implement with it besides Aegislash?

I used to use something similar to that in Emerald. So awesome.
    BTW Drastic, ready to go?

Just finished another breeding project which makes me proud!

    Abillity: No Gaurd
    Nature: Brave
    IV's: 31/31/31/x/31/0
    - Knock off
    - Pursuit
    - Megahorn
    - Drill Run

this pokemon is very rare actually, It's an HA Karrablast in a Timer ball
with Drill run (Pokebank is needed to get this move on Karrablast) and I personally think Excadrill fits Timer ball the best
and since Overcoat got a boost this gen, this is probably the abillity of choice for him.

    Sure. It'll be my pleasure.
It's just that I don't currently have access to them (Since I'm too sheepish to transfer my babies from Gen 4 and Gen 5)

Hey, I'm back. Sorry for such a long time with nothing, just schoolwork and IRL getting me down.

Quick question, what is everybody's view on Pinsir and it's mega evo? Personally, I think it's a complete beast. QA to get a moxie boost, and then mega evolve the next turn? Yeah. STAB Quick Attack on a non-normal type? Incredible. What you think?

Before MEvo, it has 3 great abilities.Mold Breaker since Rotom-W is a pain. Moxie to pick off weakened pokes to get +1. And Hyper Cutter if something has Intimidate to screw you over.
Then when it MEvolves, it just gets scarier with Aerilate Return and QA.
IMO, one of the best Mega Pokemons that resides in OU.

Let's go! I'm joining because I'm heading right into competitive once I make that team! Now I need to collect teammates....

    So, my team is...

    Mega Absol
    Greninja with Protean.
    No Guard Aegislash
    Something Male Meowstic
    And maybe Bulletproof Chestnaught.

Any arguments over which teammates I should add/take off? (NO. I refuse to los my Absol and Greninja so those are set in stone.)

    Also, thanks Eevee!

P.S. Can I maybe donate some Solar Power Charmanders? I really want other HA babies for them, but I don't think I'm gonna get far. Also I may donate some baby Espurrs off my MMs?

    @Swampurtz
lol, You're aware that I'm happy to transfer Pokemon from Gen 5 to Gen 6 if you ask politely.

    @ Forsaken Greninja
    Some little tidbits:
Mega Absol, no arguments there, refer to the CCAT we currently have on it: See here
Greninja, If you're running Special (as most people would) then make sure you have as many moves to hit everything well (As anyone in their right mind would say)
Aegislash doesn't get No Guard, it gets Stance Change or whatever it's called
Chestnaught, you gotta have Leech Seed and Spiky Shield on it.
Meowstic (M): I guess Dual Screens? You should ask DK for help with that.

Final teammate: I'd suggest a Fire type but many will slap me for suggesting Talonflame.
(I do like Hawlucha though, so many fun times with my one)
Many thanks to Astral Shadow for the (rather old) shifting userbar and Garnet who I assume created the guild userbar.
