I had no idea if I was allowed to deny stuff, but I was on and I wanted to give him ma chance to repost if he wanted too.

Gastro is still a good anti-rain team pokemon, however it kinda stinks on a sun team. However, I guess it can still abuse Toxic and Earth Power.

Anyone want to make an OU team with me? I have a core of Gengar, Hydreigon, and Jirachi set-up, but I don't want to think any further... In other words, make me not lazy xD

It all depends on your team, but the recommendation for Kingdra is shaky unless you know how to use its strengths AND that it rains or else its Electivirecrippled. A safer investment would be Mamoswine.

That last post was nothing compared to this guide about sun teams.

Hmm thanks for the required reading TMO, helped out alot and gave me a few ideas for my sun team.

I may try out Forretress/Donphan for SR and spinning. And I like that Forre can learn volt turn, which sounds awesome to me if someone switches to Politoed and I can get a free super effective hit and a free switch in.

I also like Starmie for spinning and good coverage with Tbolt and Psychic, but I don't know if he'll fit well with my style.

Well, there is some uniqueness...

Granted, you are talking to the person who has tried many weird things such as Flygon, a team of 6 choiced pokemon, which included SpecsJelli and BandFerrothorn, and other weird stuff. It is fun to through the opponent off with odd things that end up working.

They both can use Stealth Rock. The only reason why Mamo doesn't outclass Donphan is because they serve two different roles...

Donphan is more defensive and doesn't have as many weaknesses (as you pointed out) and is more of a tank than a all out attacker

Mamo has more offence and has STAB Ice attacks. STAB Ice Shard/Icicle Crash and a stronger EQ plus SuperPower is what seperates the two.

However, this is like comparing Ferrothorn to Scizor. They just serve two different roles.

And as for unusual things to use on teams, I'm finding speed wobbufet (to encore hippodown and other slow users of stealth rock) in conjunction with king's rock cloyster 252Spd / 56 Satk / 196 Atk iciclespear/shell smash/rock blast/ hydro pump (for the rare conkuldur)to work fine against a large portion of teams; although my activities are confined to tournaments and simultaneous matches, so I haven't seen a ladder in a while.
