What Partner Pokemon do you pick?

I pick Starly in the beginning of the game. I use Starly until I can get Cranidos, and I use Cranidos until I can get Shieldon.

I think I've used Gible and Mime Jr. on a couple occasions as well.

On my first playthrough I chose Starly, next I chose Pachirisu. I soon switched them for Cranidos though.

I picked Munchlax in my first playthrough, and Starly on my second playthrough.
