Yeah, I ain't got spit here, people. have I mentioned I'm really not fond of the prize idea? I think the only thing in the DW that I've found so far this go is the Prankster Murkrow (big whoop) and the Lightningrod Seaking, which might actually be of interest to me in an electric gym as an alternate. Vulpix and Eevee were both taken, that rules me out of those, unless I profer up one of the incorrect natured ThunderChars I'm breeding for Feral. Those I have plenty of, at least. Trying to get one that's a bit hasty in his rationalization though...

It's easy to do, really. You pull out a keyboard and start writing. If you want to go way back to the beginning, the best place to start is to read Feralninja's League of Heroes (Page 1 of this thread, third post down I believe?) That gives you the rundown of who we is, but there's absolutely nothing stopping you from jumping in on the middle, you could probably cram Jayden/Kaylie or at least Black Org/Lusterous into the world somewhere even, nothing says that all NCTH fic must be centered around a specific region, we just all happened to be in that area. Be an aquaintcnce of someone already in the League, or a Challenger, get to know us, and just jump into the world. Already, there are plotholes and discrepencies in the stories. Small ones, usually due to differences in how much time passed between major scenes, so don't be too concerned about toeing the line. NCTH fiction follows the games, post B/W and will probably not include BW2 since someone felt it was neccesary to kill off N. Here's a nifty timeline I did in Excel we've a few more writers so it's not entirely up to date. Sequence runs up and down, parallell occurances are across, and are colorcoded in one of several lovely faded colors provided by Microsoft [/sarcasm]. Not entirely to scale, but it works. If you have specific questions feel free to ask.

You can start with a one-shot. I tried to start with a journey fic and fizzled out before the story could reach anything important. Then I tried again and actually finished it. You just need practice. I'd start with a one-shot so if you like what you do then you can base an entire chaptered story off it.

By the way, I'm changing the rules about prizes. Now, instead of the overall winner getting to pick any prize, anyone who wins even a single battle gets to pick a prize from all the opponents they beat. For instance, if A beats B, and C beats D, but A is eliminated by C in the next round, A will get B's prize, and C will get to choose between A's and D's prizes.

More than likely, the Seaking will be mine. I don't recall gender off the top, and I'm going to play the broken record again and reiteate I don't like this prize idea. I won;t back out on yo DD, but in the future, don't count me in on prized tourneys. Got an idea for another medal though, in the D/P/Pt theme.
